You have given me very valuable information.
Thank you!
I planned to use the expedition to another agency.
But I can work with different travel agencies in Nepal.
But I want to learn more.
Who here on the forum made this trek, passed this way?

I did combine it with Kanchenjunga S & N BC to acclimatize and get ready for it and next places but Kanchenjunga will take at least 3 weeks to finish and get to Arun, so I dont think it works for u.

After you depart from Kongma as mentioned before there will be no lodges, camping necessary. At Makalu Base Camp, and two nites before you can buy some dry food I have bought last time there 100Rs per one pack/person plus some needed equipment if needed, if u dont plan to carry it with you from the begining of trek. Day from High Camp at 5750m to cross Sherpani Col & West Col getting to Baruntse BC is a hell long day. Even the "trail" to Sherpani Col is tricky, and easy to loose a track of it. You will scramble over stone slopes with Makalu behind your back. Over high Camp on Sherpani face you will use around 150-200m fixed ropes crampons, jumar. Over West Col the is ok until u get to Amphu, where many lost their lifes already, rapelling or climbing as Tom from the other side. That why most aproach from Barun to Khumbu becouse climbing Amphu with all the gear, food, equipment for porters is extremlly dangerous.
Be ready to have approperiate food, nutritius food, enough of gas to melt ice, medicines, DEX and others, be sure u will be in your best shape coming out from Makalu BC, if not wait it over and get better before u will depart. Dont over push earlier lower, be careful with food poison at lower attitiudes...stomach problems are very often much worse than insomia, attitiude problems.
You have to be ready for all kind of conditions, have all equipment. I becouse we did cross many high passes we had around 400m of fixed ropes, snow bars, ice screws, ice axe, plastic boots, jumar, emergency rope, pitons, 8-finger,carabiners, and you have to pay for it and if u dont have your own it costs a lot.
Will post more later if needed.

Its a very fast pace that I had in this route..have t be aware of that...and weather conditions can change the routhe, plan very often.
I dont have a report about it. Couse it was a hard work and wanted to keep it to myself.

Difficult days are those when u r tired mentally and are asking questions why the hell Im doing that..difficult days are then when u want to talk to somebody and realize that there is only u and a guide/porter who dont speak english well enough. Difficult days are those when for 35 days or more u eat Dal bhat twice a day, and you are just thinking when I will be back in KTM to go for steak, in Everest Steak House. Difficlut days are when you will get attitiude sickness and insomia all will be thinking about all previous facts. Difficult will be everyday if you will have to carry 30kg backpack with all your gear and food.
You have to be aware and prepared for this trek/climb physically but much more mentally.

Thank you for your help!
I can read a report about your trek?
I can see a map and photos?
As can be seen on sections of the track:
Kakadvhitta - base camp (Makalu)?
What is there interesting?
What is the height of the passes through the mountains?
Which peaks are clearly visible?
Where beautiful views to the observation deck?

sergey, here are a couple of pics. amphu laptsa and this There is no road in the mountains after Sheripani Pass. All the questions you and ask the photos that you want to see indicates to me that this is probably not the right alpine adventure for you.

Sergey,

No, you cant read a report about my trek, couse Im not going to write it.

See the part of the map in the link below: from Kanchenjunga to Barun
http://www.mypicx.com/uploadimg/1641145979_11232009_1.jpg

Brown line - going thru Sokathum, Dangen, Tapkhe Gola, Thagla Pass, Thudam, Chaymatang, Hatiya, Nene Kharka (very hard, difficult)
Blue Line - Sokathum, Dangen, Tapkhe Gola,Pohakhkola, Uwa, Num( still difficult)
Yellow line - regular route from Dobhan to Tumlingtar.

Be aware that just few tourist(or none) per season choose this route , so acctually this route can be closed(brown-yellow) becouse of the landslides and other weather related reasons. Both of them are really demanding treks, which require from you being self sufficient, haveing enough of food water, equipement, gas. Many times trekking above 4000m and crossing sometimes 5k...and the most important - have highly qualified staff to lead you thru that!!! And everything costs - so depends how much money you have!!!

Photos of passes...mate the last thing you are thinking about in a damn cold weather above 5000m is to take your big camera out to take photos...its not a bird watching walk. No photos of the passes.

Kakadvhitta - base camp (Makalu)?! You go only to Kakadvhitta if you want to trek in Kanchenjunga region. If you want to trek to Makalu only, there is no reason to drive all they way to Kakadvhitta.

Which passes which route...be more specific? You have to do much more research on that, couse I think you have no clue what and where are u going.

Which peaks are visable...depends on the weather;) In Kanchenjunga region that some of them: Boktoh, Ramtang, Kambachen, Kanchenjunga, Koktang and many others which names I dont know if they will be useful for you.
In Makalu : Peak 6 & 7, Makalu, Chonku, Baruntse ( if eventuall u will corss West Col) etc.

Views can be good all the time if the weather permits. Depends what u r looking for. And which route u will take?!

Dude, there is no road in the mountains. There is just a glacier above 6k snow, ice & rocks. If u will be lucky maybe some other group will be corssing Ice Col before you, so u can just follow their tracks, use theirs fixed ropes etc. But I wouldnt count on that. I have been there in middle of April and I was the first person during that season to cross it...

sergey, I tried to send several images, but the computer just kept giving me the same one so I don't know what's up with it. I think Marcin's description and map are pretty clear. This is a very difficult alpine adventure. I would not put it in the category of treks. If you haven't climbed a 6000m peak, as a carry-over, perhaps you want to do that 1st before trying this adventure. This traverse will be like climbing several 6000m peaks and not descending much between them over several days.
