Why drag it down to the level of a B&S ball MO? I knew him when he played the balls with his brother and didn't think he would ever make it past that level. The joys of country service, drinking and playing aussie rules with future celebrities.

Wombat, if your after the band for meaning and songs, then John Schumann, Paul Kelly or Kev Carmody would be my pick. No-one makes ypou want to rock, dance or get involved like The Angels.

Chad Morgan, unfortunately he passed away this year, anyone who can be there own Grandpa must be worth something.

His brother Dennis sings up here at various resorts and now that Chad has passed he actually uses his last name again. He never used to because he didn't want his music associated with Chads.

Can't understand that who wouldn't want to be related to The Sheik from Scrubby Creek. LOL bb

Of the various bands Tex has been in, the Ladyboys I find to be a big disapointment. Bring the Cruel Sea, Beasts of Bourbon or the Combinations with Don

Considering all the crap (and, let's face it, most Oz Rock IS crap!) that's been mentioned above, I count my blessings for the existence of TISM

Being an old fart my fav bands are Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs (in the blues band incarnation) and Chain. Oh, the Pigram Brothers are a sentimental favourite - make me think about Broome.

Tomorrow I might have a different opinion. Love Paul Kelly too, never liked the Oils.

Living End, Gyroscope, Powderfinger are some Oz bands that I love.

Another vote for Hunters and Collectors however Angels, Oils and Paul Kelly are close behind.

#19, Tex, Don and Charlie (Sunday Morning Coming Down, great songs of misery even if a cover, JOhnny Cash did a great version, I wish I was such a deadbeat), brilliant. Oils, Hunters, Paul Kelly, Weddoes, Hoodoos, Chisel, The Angels - sob. Hard call. Can I add Choirboys to that? Rose Tattoo. Real music. I remember, back bar of the Price Albert (called the Snakepit) across from Melbourne Uni, 30 teenagers crammed in screaming 'Just one touch, and every thing will be alright, GRUNT'.

And Chambers said to Barlow, we are in a foreign land and it is time to die...we will stand and we will fall...I can hear your mother call and it is a long way home

Crowded house - one Kiwi, two Aussies. Aussie band.

IF you want to add Rock bands that no longer play, then add Noiseworks. Diviynls had some good hits but just miss out. For a long suffering pub rock band, I find it hard to believe the Radiators are still going strong but aren't we lucky the Wiggles killed the Cockroaches.
