As stated in our Website Terms, if you are using the Sell, Swap & Meet Up branch, you do so at your own risk, but here are some general guidelines:
Listing and selling stuff;
(a) Only items that are related to travel should be listed here - this is a travel forum not a cheap electronics or knock-off designer handbag forum. Posted items that are not relevant to this forum will be removed at our discretion;
(b) This is forum for individuals to sell occasional items. This forum cannot be used to list commercial websites, nor should it be used as your personal online storefront.
(c) If you’re selling something, make sure you’re legally able to sell it, and don’t forget to include any terms of sale. There are some things which you're not allowed to sell (because of laws and/or Lonely Planet's policy). They include: alcohol, animals...

Hi,
I see a lot of people would like to complete a house swap or similar but wonder if anyone would like an RV / Motorhome exchange. I have a listing on www.rvworldwide.com (http://www.rvworldwide.com/listing/swap_rv_in_usa_for_south_africa_30004.html#info) and can be contacted there if you are interested. Have a great day and safe travels.

Hi,
I'm looking to swap my 1BR Manhattan apt for another similar apt anywhere in the world. There are so many sites but many of them are for larger homes which doesn't apply to me. In addition, most charge a $50 or $75 fee which is not a big deal but I don't want to join one only to find out it's useless.
Have any of you had success w/ any of these sites?
Thanks so much,
Seth

Large, stylish, convenient and perfectly located. Close to shopping, restaurants, and public transportation, centrally located and close to the two most vibrant neighborhoods in SF: The Mission and The Castro. I want to swap my apartment for yours for 7-10 days some time in 2010 somewhere exotic and not in Europe. Buenos Aires is first choice, but anywhere in South America, Africa, Middle East or Asia sounds good!

Hi All,
Having just successfully arranged a house swap through this Branch, I thought that we might try again!
Hello
I would like to exchange my parisian flat for a NYC flat from 19 June 2010 until 26 June 2010 (flight already booked).
My appartment is a nice flat of 56m² (610 square feets). It is on the 2nd floor (with elevator) of 10 floors and is a typically parisian apartment, with fireplaces, wooden floor and moulding. It would accommodate 2/3 persons
Situated in the heart of Paris, in the 16th administrative subdivision of paris, only 50 meters from all public (day & night) transportations.
By subway, you can very easily reach the most important places in Paris!
There are lots of shops, a great market. cafes / pub (You are a short subway ride from anywhere else in central Paris. There are numerous restaureants, boulangeries, patisseries, fromageries, fresh fruit and vegetable stands, butchers, fish shops and much more, all within 100m of the apartment.
Please do not hesita...

Hi!
I'm looking for an apartment exchange during the Christmas holidays, preferably from Dec.19/2009 until Jan. 03/2010 for an apartment in Paris or Dublin.
My apartment is located in Toulouse, near down town (15min on foot), there are many interesting places to discover in the city as well as in the surrounding villages . It has two bedrooms and a big living room and it is fully equipped.
Do not hesitate to contact me for further info.
Best regards.

We are a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 girls. We live in a beautiful rural home close to urban setting in Eastern Canada - Wolfville, Nova Scotia. We are planning a trip to Europe during the winter of 2010, January - May. Our hope is to find a home for 6 - 8 weeks in January and February in a French community where the girls could attend a school and we as the parents can discover and explose some the French culture and food. We have a home we are willing to swap either simultaneaously or non-simultaneously. House sitting works for us as well or rental. We just want to live and experince intimately the French culture and language. Any suggestions or possibilities out there? We have registered on a few house exchange websites, but want to try this route as well.

I have a traditional Queenslander workers cottage in inner-city Brisbane, Australia (2km from CBD, an hour's drive south and north respectively to the Gold and Sunshine Coast beaches). I'm interested in a house (or apartment) swap for a few months (maybe 12 weeks?) in the first half of 2010. This is a beautiful time of year in Brisbane - still very warm, even as it gets into winter in June though by that stage the nights are getting chilly.
My first preference is for Canada, as I have dual citizenship and would like to work a little over there, to increase my experience on my return. I work in social policy.
I don't have a job lined up at this point so don't have a preference for location (other than that I prefer coastal and/or mountain areas to the inland prairie provinces, based on my several previous visits). I'm open to other countries, though probably for a l...

We (a responsible Kiwi-Danish couple) are looking for a house sit in Auckland from 1 December to 6 January or for part of that period. If it suited you may be able to borrow our flat in Copenhagen also (it would be between 9 December and 28 January). Or you could come and stay some other time. We are 56 and 49, like cats, careful.. What more shall I say? Look forward to hearing from you.
