South Korea Travel Webseries
Hello Everyone,
I just wanted to say hi and to ask you to check out a Kickstarter project that my friend and I are doing. If you don't know what a kickstarter project is, it's a project that allows the smallest of ideas to grow through to backers and supporters who join in its growth.
The kickstarter that I have started with my friend Kelsey is for backing and supporting our webseries "Kebba & Kelsey: Anywhere But Home" which chronicles the tales of our future trip to South Korea on June 12th of this year, as well as any other places that we will visit some day. We both have such a deep passion for Korea's culture and traditions and we want to bring that alive in an interactive way through our webseries.
What would be a big help to both of us is if you visit our kickstarter project, and help us in any way that you feel called to. Whether it be through shareing our project ov...

Recommended Hostels in Asia & bed bugs
Just updated my blog on recommended hostels in SEAsia. I returned to Reggae Hostel I last night after recommending it 2 years ago. Bed bugs: shame. Don't be fooled by the +90% reviews online, there are better places to stay:

Party Hostel Portugal - The Gspot
Just stayed at the most incredible Party hostel in Lisbon, Portugal!
I've been doing a backpacking trip by myself for the last few weeks and I wanted to meet new people. I found out about The Gspot, a youth party hostel, through a fellow traveller and have never been so pleased. Not only did they have free pancake breakfasts in the morning, but they had free dinners as well! The staff were amazing and so helpful, and the hostel itself had an incredible community feel. After dinner, they did all you can drink and then had the whole hostel play drinking games like beer pong and kings up. I have never partied so hard in Europe before. If anyone out there is looking for the a good time in Portugal or even Europe, there's no other place to stay. Their catch phrase is, "Once you've found the Gspot, you'll want to come again." and I absolutely will!

Yokozuna Match - Hakuho vs Harumafuji
In April, sumo gets back to its roots at Yasukuni Shrine with an outdoor event. In olden times, sumo was generally held outdoors at shrines and temples or before gathered assemblies of august groups such as the shogun, daimyo (feudal lord), even the Emperor.
Hono Ozumo is a special ceremonial sumo event held at a shrine such as Yasukuni Shrine. Lower rank wrestlers (maku-shita) and top rank wrestlers (maku-uchi) compete. Even the yokozuna the highest rank in sumo compete at Hono Ozumo. If there is more than one yokozuna, they will compete against each other. Sumo can have several yokozuna at the same time but it is rela...
