Japan-Mt. Fuji and Daisetsu-zan NP backpack
Looking for backpacker/hikers for July 3-14. I lived in Japan (long time ago) and 2 adventures I missed:
Pilgrims route up Mt. Fuji, starting at Fuji-Yoshida. (2/3 days)
Backpacking in Daisetsuzan National Park (5/6 days)
I am planning on flying to Hokkaido backpacking (July 4-10). I’ve scheduled a few extra days for weather, relaxing, sushi binges, seeing other things. Then, returning to Tokyo for Fuji-san ascent (July 12-13).
I’m from Colorado, USA (also posted for Tibet partners earlier), used to speak Nihongo and travel independently, but no longer possess language skills-darn. Japan has many wondrous places.

I’m from Colorado, USA and looking for partners for overland Tibet T.A.R. trip (24 or 27 days). Starting in Lhasa on July 15, 2013. This is the Epic journey around everywhere in TAR that is open- Samye, Yarlung Tsangpo Canyon, Lake Basum Tso, Ganden Gompa, Sera Gompa Everest BC, Mt. Kailash, Guge Kingdom and return through Changtang Plateau, and Namtso.
July 15 : Arrive in Lhasa by flight (Chengdu), upon arrival will be received and transfer hotel in Lhasa
July 16 : Lhasa sightseeing

July 18 : Lhasa / Ganden / Basumtso lake
July 19 : Basum tso lake / Nying Tri / Serkyim la pass, Lunang, Nyingtri, over night stay

Travel Buddy - Northern Areas Pakistan. June 2013
I plan to be in the Northern Areas Pakistan in June 2013. Any one interested to join in. My indicative plans includes one or more of the following:
1- Snowlake - 15 days Skardu to Skardu
2- Fairy Meadows (Nanga Parbat Base Camp)- Rupal Face (7 days)
3- Deosai Plains crossing it - 4 -5 days
4- Base camps of Rakaposhi

Hi,
I really travel on a fixed income and explore India and Africa. - (the airplane tickets are what kills me.. otherwise it'd be easy there.. So! Find someone who wants to drive.. ;z) (I can't-due to vision problems)
Currently I'm living in Athens Greece. I just came back from 6 months solo in China ~ 29/m/Californian
I've traveled over half my life.. C. & N America, Europe- all. and around.. but India and Africa not yet. (Tunisia I don't count as Africa)
I tend to sit in open squares and play guitar and sing.. Dance at every party.. and look for live music jams..
I have been a life long vegetarian and I'm a good cook / baker.
I could leave anytime, but of course the older this post goes the more likely i'll be doing something else. ;z)

I will be in SD for business and plan to stay the weekend before and after to see the sights.
My sightseeing dates are 25, 26, 27 May and 1 Jun
I plan to spend some time doing the standards - Zoo/Aquarium, tidepools, Botanical Garden, paragliding, sea lions, etc...
I am also looking to do some things outside the city, such as interesting hikes (not hard core, but not an easy walk either) or waterfalls or whatever. I will have a car and could even sleep outside SD if the drive is far and someone has a good recommendation.
Looking to see if anybody of similar age (+/10 years to my age) / fitness level / interests will be in the area and would want to participate in any of these activities. TIBET FROM MID JUNE TO SEPT
HI GUYS,
I'm thinking of going to Tibet this summer, with a stop at chengdu and maybe going to yunnan before or after Tibet this summer. I don't want to go with a tour group and since I am going to be in China all summer I thought it would be a good idea for me to explore with a few travel buddies. I am Chinese (but grew up in Canada), so I hope that would help with any of you with language barriers and I'm really not too picky about the time but I would like to visit all three places listed if possible. Chengdu is pretty much a must since it's so close to Tibet and the food there is amazing.

I did a similar trip from East Coast to West Coast with someone else a couple years ago and it was amazing! We couchsurfed across the U.S. - so affordable and such a neat way to meet so many different people in so many states!
