As stated in our Website Terms, if you are using the Sell, Swap & Meet Up branch, you do so at your own risk, but here are some general guidelines:
Listing and selling stuff;
(a) Only items that are related to travel should be listed here - this is a travel forum not a cheap electronics or knock-off designer handbag forum. Posted items that are not relevant to this forum will be removed at our discretion;
(b) This is forum for individuals to sell occasional items. This forum cannot be used to list commercial websites, nor should it be used as your personal online storefront.
(c) If you’re selling something, make sure you’re legally able to sell it, and don’t forget to include any terms of sale. There are some things which you're not allowed to sell (because of laws and/or Lonely Planet's policy). They include: alcohol, animals...

Hey
My name is Nick and I am a masters student in Edinburgh University. I am planning to do research for a film project which I am starting the end of next year, the plot surrounds a university student doing a 'Jailbreak' (get as far away from a city as possible in 36 hours with no money at all), and in order to do that I am hoping to do the same to Rome between 28th December to 8th January. I am looking for ridiculously enthusatic young people who want to join me. Hoping to use couchsurfing as much as possible and make the experience as close to the proposed film plot.
Going to be filming the trip, and along with other trips during the year (planning a cycle trip to Istanbul), make a script up.
Drop me a msg if your interested!!

Hi there,
I am a 23 year old female taking some time off before grad school and am hoping to find a travel companion who wants to go to South and/or Central America. I would like to go sometime around Jan-March. I am totally open about travel plans so if you have an itinerary you want to follow I don't mind adopting yours. I'm laid-back, but adventurous and am looking for someone similar.
Let me know if you are interested or have any ideas/suggestions
Thanks!

It's a bit last minute...
I am thinking to go to Morocco in February for about 2 weeks. I don't have a solid plan yet, but would love to explore every corner of Morocco as much as I can. Of course...I am not going to miss out spending a few night in dessert.
If you are intrigued by the mystery of Morocco and a adventurer, please drop me a few lines at chiehhui@gmail.com.

Hi there,
I'm planning to go to Viet Nam, Myanmar and Laos from Feb 1st 2010.
I was thinking to visit them in this order and to spend roughly one month in each country, but I'm quite flexible. I have to fly back home by May 2nd.
Any laid-back fellow travelers want to join?
By the way, I'm 28 and have been traveling around Australia for the last year; I'll be flying in from Singapore.
Ciao!
Anna

This is a long shot but i'll try it.
Last week, my boyfriend who works and lives in the Netherlands just informed me that he would not be able to see me for Xmas or New Years and I'm not even allowed to stay with him.
This means that I'm now left to find my own housing / hostel and alone for the holidays.
I've had some good recommendations on things to do but if I could meet anyone in a similar solo situation, that would be nice as we could go on some day trips together.
I like live music, hiking, a good beer, art and I'm pretty easy going.
Im 30 so not that young and certainly not a spring chicken at travelling.
Anyone in a similar situation?

Starting on the 23rd or 24th, I would like to do the Langtang trek. Nothing fancy that takes a guide and porters along and heads off into the wilderness, but a simple independent circuit along the teahouse route as described in the Lonely Planet Nepal. I am traveling solo through the Indian subcontinent, but of course trekking solo would be foolish, so I hope to find some company. Please send me a PM through the Thorn Tree or an e-mail to crculver@christopherculver.com.

Hi there!
I'm a 24 yr old girl from Norway, and I'm going on a backpacking trip next year, starting in January. Have some company for parts of the trip, but could use a travel mate for when I'm going to Vietnam and China. Will be in Ho chi minh around the 28th of February, and will be going north, and then go to China. My return ticket is from Beijing on the 17th of April. Anyone interested? Just let me know:)

Heelllloooo everybody, I'm new too the whole travel scene & have been thinking undecisevly about traveling by myself or with someone,,, kind of thinking it might be a little better with someone but would rather not go with someone I know oddly enough. I've been working on setting this up for a little while & will continue to do so through this school semester until I am satisified with my generate plan(s). If anyone is interested lmk we could work out details/ plans together over the next couple o' months and further get into it, alls I know right now is I either want to do like a europe thing or thailand malaysia extravaganza. Oh yeah, I'm male, 24, & live in NY, don't really mind if your male / female / other, it's cool, if you're around the same age maybe like 20 - 30 or around there even better.... so if any interest at all lmk!!!! enjoy the holidays!!!!!!!
