As stated in our Website Terms, if you are using the Sell, Swap & Meet Up branch, you do so at your own risk, but here are some general guidelines:
Listing and selling stuff;
(a) Only items that are related to travel should be listed here - this is a travel forum not a cheap electronics or knock-off designer handbag forum. Posted items that are not relevant to this forum will be removed at our discretion;
(b) This is forum for individuals to sell occasional items. This forum cannot be used to list commercial websites, nor should it be used as your personal online storefront.
(c) If you’re selling something, make sure you’re legally able to sell it, and don’t forget to include any terms of sale. There are some things which you're not allowed to sell (because of laws and/or Lonely Planet's policy). They include: alcohol, animals...

I am a very chilled, easy going 30yo Canadian guy who is planning a trip to the Philippines in Jan/Feb '10. I will be spending the month of January in the Palawan area with a friend. Unfortunately, her holiday will come to an end early February. After that I plan on island hopping solo for 4-6 weeks. My agenda is not fixed by any means but I plan on seeing Negros, Panay, Borocay, Siquijor, Bohol, etc...
My days will be consumed with snorkelling, kayaking, hiking, working on the tan and enjoying the cuisine/beverages that are on offer. My budget is low to mid-range.
I have travelled extensively but never to the Philippines. Looking for another nomad to explore the wonders, maybe ease the cost of expenses or simply meet up and have a beer.
If you'll be in the area and want to hook up, give me a shout...take care

LONDON TO CAPETOWN OVERLAND - LEAVING JAN or FEB 2010!!!
Hi All,
I am planning to drive from London to Cape Town in January or February 2010. I originally planned to do this in September (hence the other posts) but had to hang around for slightly longer. Jan / Feb is now set in stone as i'm leaving work for this trip. If you fancy some adventure then read on!
I have a 300 series Landrover Defender called Himba which has been built from scratch to a decent expedition spec and am looking for 2-3 people to join me on this trip.
The trip should take around 6 months and take in:
Libya
Tunisia
Egypt
Sudan
Ethiopia
Kenya
Rwanda
Uganda
Tanzania
Malawi
Zambia
Botswana
Namibia and
South Africa
I’m a 28 year old male from London who’s had enough of city life and wants to fulfil a life long ambition! I’ve been lucky to have travelled quite extensively through Europe...

Hi there (and merry Christmas),
I am currently in El Chalten and have "done" the Torres del Paine already, headig North now and looking for someone to do more trekking with.
I have all the gear needed (tent etc.) and I´m looking for someone who is also an experienced trekker and wants to get off the beaten track (if that´s possible at all...), away from the crowds....
Let me know if you´re interested, I have an Argentinian phone that works only sporadically, i.e. whenever there is reception (2966325893). I am 28 and female if that´s important to know ;-)
I´ll be around until mid-February, heading further North whenever I feel like it...
Cheers,
Vera

Hi, I am looking for a female traveller to go to India with me as a friend. I am 30 year old female, would love to start in Bombay, go to Goa and then head on the train up north. Would love to do meditation, yoga, visit many places, see where I could help ( charities, teaching is schools or so on). I have spent 3 months in Thailand and I found traveling around there very easy. If you are up for such kind of a backpacking trip in beautiful India, let me know, we can catch up in London, see how we get on and go! Looking forward to hear from you!
Vendy

Hi,
I'm a 32 year old black male originally from Jamaica and currently living in the Washington DC area. I'm headed to Mexico City in early Jan 2010, traveling around Mexico for a while and then making my way slowly south from there hopefully ending up in Panama June 2010. I have no set schedule and will be playing everything by ear, seeing the sites, experiencing the various cultures, people and just life in general. I speak a decent amount of Spanish due to living in Barcelona for a couple months and hope to become fluent by the end of this trip. Any other fun loving adventurers who will be in the area around the same time just let me know as I would love to meet up wherever our travel plans coincide. Fun in numbers type of thing. Ciao!

Hi. I want to travel to Ngorongo and / or Serengeti from Jan. 23/24 to Jan. 27th. Would anyone like to take me on (and thus lower overall costs) or is anyone interested in forming a group to go to any of these places on these dates? Thanks. David.

Goodevening Travelers
I m looking for someone to share a Pinasse (river boat) from Mopti to Timbuktu leaving Mopti Harbor on the 12th of January 2010 and arriving in Timbuktu on the 14th (if you wish we could arrange the departure and the arrival one day earlier or one or two days after, by the way the days to be spent on the boat are alway 3 (2 nights) in any case..). I m already in touch with a reliable local travel agency.. The whole boat costs 450 000 CFA (more than 600 euros) but it can be loaded with more than 8 people! and the price is going to be quite OK. we are already two looking for others..
so in short...
We are looking for people to share a pinasse around the 12th january from Mopti to Timbuktu! Come on!
Waiting for news.. cheers and merry xmas.!

Hello,
I am backpacking in Rajasthan in February. I just got back from SE Asia where I met lots of people, and I had a really good time.
During this trip ( my first backpacking trip solo ) I realized that although you meet amazing people on the road, it is much easier to have someone to split costs, ideas and share the experiences with. I am 27 male, New Yorker, love to travel, passion for small towns where I can get a real feel for the culture. The more adventure the better. Traveling by train, and taking pictures is something that I also love to do on my trips. If anyone is planing on being there and wants to maybe meet up drop me a line and we can chat....
Happy Holidays!
George
