Using The Sell, Swap & Meet Up Branch

As stated in our Website Terms, if you are using the Sell, Swap & Meet Up branch, you do so at your own risk, but here are some general guidelines:

Listing and selling stuff;
(a) Only items that are related to travel should be listed here - this is a travel forum not a cheap electronics or knock-off designer handbag forum. Posted items that are not relevant to this forum will be removed at our discretion;
(b) This is forum for individuals to sell occasional items. This forum cannot be used to list commercial websites, nor should it be used as your personal online storefront.
(c) If you’re selling something, make sure you’re legally able to sell it, and don’t forget to include any terms of sale. There are some things which you're not allowed to sell (because of laws and/or Lonely Planet's policy). They include: alcohol, animals... more »

After Christmas, I'll have ~ 10 days left and a new year eve to celebrate but I don't know where right now : Yucatan? Cuba (too short?)?
So, if you are around or if yoy've got tips/ideas/suggestions on these different places, please don't hesitate : rrdhfr (at) yahoo.fr or http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?ref=profile&id=645384249 on Facebook (Lonely Planet's replies are usually spams in my mailbox)...

About me : 27yo French girl, love travelling, LOVE PHOTO, interested in nature and people with initiative and ideas, usually easy-going...

Best regards

Another Trip and Another Place - South America

Just ending a 10 week trip in Nepal, North India and Bangladesh and planning the second leg now after a long internal debate as to where to go. I am now heading to Columbia arriving December 10 in Bogota. My plan is Columbia, T&T (may be), breeze through Venezuela to Guyanas, Suriname and make my way ending to Salvador Bahia. No time frame.....

I have been to both Columbia and Venezuela but left several places untouched.
I speak English, Spanish, and French fluently and can get by in Portuguese.

I am not rock bottom backpacking but enjoy simple accommodation and food. The Guyanas will have to be creative with accommodation.
I like challenges and risk at times so I dont always take the easiest route to the easiest places.

if you are anywhere around there and want to hook up for some portions of this trip or all......drop me a PM will be glad to share more.

cheers!!! more »

December 2009 Holidays - Mumbai

Hello all...

Some of you may have read my post on the Gay & Lesbian Travels Forums... Am a fairly easy traveller myself and wouldnt mind the company of any other traveller(s) around mumbai during the x'mas / new years weekend... am not really into much of the loud party scene as dont intend paying through my nose to eventually become deaf the next morning ... :)

I am 34yrs of age, single and a resident of mumbai... anyone visiting mumbai and needing a place can always refer to my other posts and write in... would be happy to help but meanwhile... if someone does share my thoughts on getting out of this maddening city for the weekend... drop me a line in here or send me a PM... I am a smoker (though dont smoke heavily)... prefer some basic comfortable accomodation (where available)... well travelled globally... though am yet to do nearby countries like Sri Lanka, Maldives etc... ... more »

Christmas in Europe!

Hi,

I am an Indian, and have been living in Norway for last 7 years. Have not traveled so much in Europe, have been busy with studies and then job.

Since I have 1-2 weeks of my vacations left of this year, I am planning to travel to somewhere in Europe around Christmas. I am thinking of many options; for example Barcelona, Gran Canaria, Amsterdam or may be Praha.

1. What do you guys say about these places? Where would it be best to be around Christmas? Appriaciate if you share your expierence!

2. Is someone there with similiar plan/destinations? And would like to have a Companion? Actually I am very flexible so if you have a better destination in mind just let me know as well!

Thanks in advance for all the suggestions!

Live and let live! :-)

Enjoy a little travel talk?

http://www.corbettstravels.com

Hi everybody.

I was recently browsing the web and saw that there really aren’t many chat rooms on the well known travel websites. Of course you have the terrific forums that we all use but sometimes I really feel like logging on and having a good chat with like minded people.

So, I am adding a Live Video & Chat Room to my blog at www.corbettstravels.com Here we have a very small community of passionate travellers. It’s going live on Sunday 29th November at 8pm UK time and would love it if as many people as possible would come and say hi.

I’m hoping over time, more and more people will become members and come along regularly to have a good chat and to make some new friends.

Sunday 29th November at 8pm UK time at www.corbettstravels.com

See you there. more »

Fellow travellers for tour to Murchison / Uganda Feb 2010

Hi everybody,

we're looking for fellow travellers who want do a 3-day safari to Murchison at the end of February 2010.
Departure would be Friday 26th or Saturday 27th in either Kampala or Masindi.
Sorry that we're not flexible on the dates but our flight back is on the 2nd...

We're in contact with Mamaland, Backpacker's and Yebo Tours (Masindi), itineraries are different but comparable,
prices are too high for a couple but reasonable and comparable for 4-6 people.
(Red Chili tour on the 26th is full and their camp is occupied due to a "fishing competition")

"We" is a french-german couple (40+) with by then 2 weeks of Uganda-experience ;o)

Please PM me for details

Have fun
haupi

London to Cape Town Overland February 2010

Hi All,

My friend and I are planning to drive from London to Cape Town in early February 2010 (as early as possible). Early February is now set in stone as we are both leaving work for this trip. If you fancy some adventure then read on!

We are Mike and Christine. Mike has a 300 series Landrover Defender called Himba which has been built from scratch to a decent expedition spec. We are looking for 1-2 people to join us on this trip.

The trip should take around 6 months and take in:

Libya
Tunisia
Egypt
Sudan
Ethiopia
Kenya
Rwanda
Uganda
Tanzania
Malawi
Zambia
Botswana
Namibia and
South Africa

Mike is a 28 year old male from London. I'm Christine, a 26 year old female from Dublin. We have both had enough of city life and want to fulfil a life long ambition! Mike has been lucky to have travelled quite extensively through Europe, the US, Canada, Central America... more »

backpacking partners in Northern C.A

I'm an easy going 42 year old American planning on backpacking through Northern Central America Mid Dec through mid to late Jan.I travel light and stay in buget accomodationsI'm arriving in Cancun Mex Dec.15(only because its much cheaper than any other arrival dest. in C.A)My plans are to bus or hitchike down the Mex. coast maybe stopping in Tulum and or Chetumal to check out some of the Mayan sites. My plans are loose from there on because I don't like to travel with too many constraints.I got my open water certification in S.E Asia last year and I am hooked. Therefore I would like to dive some in Belize(in the Caye's) and on the Bay Islands in Honduras.I want to do some volcano trekking in Guatemala and get off the beaten path some in the mountains.I'm very flexable and open to suggestions. If this fits in well with you I hope to hear from ya.
