Using The Sell, Swap & Meet Up Branch

As stated in our Website Terms, if you are using the Sell, Swap & Meet Up branch, you do so at your own risk, but here are some general guidelines:

Listing and selling stuff;
(a) Only items that are related to travel should be listed here - this is a travel forum not a cheap electronics or knock-off designer handbag forum. Posted items that are not relevant to this forum will be removed at our discretion;
(b) This is forum for individuals to sell occasional items. This forum cannot be used to list commercial websites, nor should it be used as your personal online storefront.
(c) If you’re selling something, make sure you’re legally able to sell it, and don’t forget to include any terms of sale. There are some things which you're not allowed to sell (because of laws and/or Lonely Planet's policy). They include: alcohol, animals... more »

Cape Town to Inhambane

Hello.

We are travelling from Cape Town to Inhambane, Mozambique on December 20th. We still have space in a Pajero for maximum 2 people. We are driving up there for a couple of weeks and will return no later than 6-7th January.

If someone just wants to get a ride for one way, that's also fine. We are just looking for some relaxed people to share the drive, preferably people who have done trips like this before. We are meeting some friends there and they have already left so we are trying to fill up the car a little.

All diesel cost will be shared equally amongst the travellers. You will not be required to drive. We'll meet up before the trip.

Drop me a mail if you are interested.

Cheers, Mark

London to Cape Town Overland 2010 - Anyone Interested?

Hi all

I am at the very early stages of planning an overland trip from London to Cape Town - I mean very early (getting the atlas out and deciding where I want to go, which seems to be everywhere at the moment!).

The aim is to buy a 4x4 here in the UK and drive all the way to South Africa while seeing as much as possible in-between. I hoping there are other people out there interested in the same kind of trip who would be up for planning it from scratch - there's heaps of information out there. It would mean splitting costs, planning and driving. I've travelled quite extensively on my own, but for this trip I love to travel with like minded people. Ideally I would like to leave the UK towards the end of 2010, but again, nothing is fixed.

If you are interested in joining for what will surely be the trip of a lifetime, or perhaps are planning a similar trip I'd love to ... more »

Chengdu to Tibet?

If anyone is interested in going to Tibet from Chengdu in the next 4-10 days, please contact me. I'd love to arrange a trip and have talked to Sim's Hostel. It's relatively cheap right now because it's the low season, but would be much cheaper if we had a few people.

Bhutan from Kathmandu..

Hi All.....
Are there any crazy people out there with a bit of cash to burn that feel like visiting the delightful Kingdom of Bhutan imminently?? I am in Kathmandu and it's too cost prohibitive to go with less than three people. As it is it's $236 a day inclusive!!
Anyway, worth a try...Private message me if your interested please...
All the best, Melanie.

Companion for my travels to India, mid February 2010?

Hi,

I'm a British 18 year old female who will be travelling alone to India in mid-February 2010, looking for other like-minded travellers. I will be flying to Delhi, and then travelling south, 1st towards south-west, and towards Chennai Airport where I plan to get a flight to Thailand/ Laos. However I am going to keep my travelling options open.

Hoping to be able to have someone to accompany me for beginning, at least, of my travels as it will make it a much less daunting prospect!

Thanks in advance!
Beatrice

Tokyo Dec 24 - Jan 5

Hello all,

I'm an American male landing in Tokyo on the 24th, looking for any nice/fun/interesting people to explore Tokyo and other areas of Japan. As of now just planning the first couple nights in Tokyo, then going to plan from there. It'll be my first time there, so i'm definitely interested in seeing some of the obvious sights and "tourist attractions" ... also looking to have fun on new years eve.

Anybody interested and are going to be around in that time period.....give me a shout.

enjoy!
