Latin in BKK January 4-11

Going back to Bangkok Jan 4-11. Would be cool to have someone to go out with, explore more parts of the city, drink, eat, etc, meet new people while we're there, and definitely go out. I'm pretty social, talkative, and outgoing.

American here 20yo, 5'8 145.

Anyone down?

Lesbian - Nicaragua, Puerto Rico or Dominican Republic???

Hi, my gf and I are looking for a spot to back-pack over winter and are hoping for a relatively lesbian-friendly desination. We are seasoned travellers but are really struggling with trying to find the better spots between Nicaragua, Puerto Rico or Dominican. Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated. Has anyone (gay or lesbian) travelled to these countries? In your experience, was it safe to be out? Do you have any recommendations for hotels or dance clubs? We have heard and read that it is very difficult to try to find rooms with anything other than 2 single beds. I am an 'adventure traveller' while my partner is less so, so we're looking for good locations to hole up in for 3-4 days at a time to get to see the sights and get to know an area a wee bit before moving on. Thanks in advance for your time.

Prague

In Prague on my own for a few weeks with time to sightsee in the evenings and at weekends. Already sorted out a lot of music, but grateful for any ideas of what to see and where to go - more on the 'cultural' than the dance-and-disco side (perhaps as befits an energetic over-40!). I'd also welcome any ideas about places where the more 'mature' gay crowd may gather. And of course I'd be happy if there's anyone travelling through who fancies company to compare notes over an evening beer or two. Write back here or PM me. Thanks.

Travelling Solo Thailand Dec 28 - Jan 17th

Hey Guys and Girls,

So i decided to book this trip to Thailand because i here its amazing, but one problem..... all my friends are broke or going to Mexico as its a Canadian hot spot during our winter ..... that leaves me on my own.
I'm really looking forward to meeting up with some people along my way and being able to explore this foreign place with. I'm sure it would be amazing to see on my own, but lets face it its always more fun when your with others, especially when you put back a few. Ive never been one for drinking alone, its just not quite the same.

My plans so far;
Arrive BBK Dec 28th, 11:45am. Tour around till the 31st, catch a plane to Ko Samui....... take a boat to Ko Phangan for the new years bash, then back to ko Samui.....

Places i would like to go;
Phuket, Chaing mai, Laos, Krabi (rock climbing), Similan Islands (Scuba Diving)...... and a whole heck of ... more »

Gay Life in Sicily (Caltagirone, Catania, etc.)

I'm going to be in south-central and eastern Sicily (Caltagirone, Catania, perhaps another nearby city) for a week in early December, and was wondering whether there were any gay hotspots to check out. Are there any bars, clubs, restaurants, etc. nearby?

What else do people recommend seeing in, around and between these two cities. I may have a car, so I would be able to get around.

Many thanks for any suggestions!

gay life in tunis?

Hi,
I plan on going to Tunisia for a few days around December 3 2009.
Can anyone share experiences regarding bars clubs or hints about Tunis?
I heard great and bad things, loads of men hitting on you as well as the risk of being too open..

thanks!

I really need some help from Gay and Lesbian travelers for my graduate project.

I have created a survey at:

It is very short, it should take you less than 5 minutes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank You!

Wanted: Low cost, gay friendly in Costa Rica

My friend and I will be in Costa Rica for 4 days of the New Years and we are looking for a place to stay (probably in Manuel Antonio) that is gay friendly and economical (think max $50/night).

Any recommendations? And parties for New Years?

Cheers!

How gay friendly is your city?

For the wonkish traveler, Foreign Policy magazine has an article on the trend towards more gay friendly and open gay identity in Latin America. One surprising result is mention of a study that ranks urban gay friendliness... according to which "Montevideo (Uruguay), San José (Costa Rica), and Quito (Ecuador) rank higher than New York. Most Latin American cities do much better than the majority of cities in the developing world, most of which are at the very bottom of the list (in the 0 to 0.99 range)."

The least gay friendly places in Latin America are Tegucigalpa (Honduras) and Port-au-Prince (Haiti).
