Nine of us have just 7 days to travel around Greece. We have zeroed on doing 2 Nights each in Mykonos, Santorini and Athens. We are doing the usual sightseeing in Athens.
(a) For Mykonos and Santorini, we require assistance. We intend to do a bit of sightseeing and relax on the beaches. Can someone pl. help us with the best beaches in and around Mykonos and Santorini and the spots for sightseeing we should not miss.
(b) We have looked at 4 star hotels in each of these places, but though they may be well rated on tripadvisor, have concerns on the mentions about..hotels are in drug peddling areas, the staff robs people of laptops, etc...so kind of more worried as to how to choose the safest and good clean hotels. What is the best way to check on reliability of the hotels?
I do know we are doing much less days and would have loved to extend the days of travel to Greece, b... more »

Im from america and am planning on heading out to Portugal in January and WWOOFIng my way about Europe, I just got my passport but my next question is do I need a visa? I am a 24 year old American spending a month in Germany from mid September through mid October. I will be based in Munich as I am staying with my brother who has lived just outside the city for about a year now.
I have traveled to Germany before and have already seen the famous attractions like Neuschwanstein/Hohenschwangau, Dachau, etc. so I don't need to do those again. I've also seen parts of Northern Germany in Berlin, Bonn, and Koln and want to focus my travels on Bavaria and nearby locales.
My brother and his girlfriend will be mostly occupied during the weekdays of my visit so I am anticipating taking several solitary trips.

Hello all, I'm new to travelling and in August I shall be inter railing for two weeks starting in France with a friend. We are both new to this but we have made a plan and was hoping to get some advice before we start booking things and set off! We are also planning on going to one or two festivals during this time but I'm worried we have planned too much travelling and not enough time spent doing things in the countries we want.
We would like to see:
France (Paris) - 1 day
Italy (Turin/Venice) - 2 days
Croatia (Zagreb) - 1 day
Hungry (Budapest) - 2 days (One of the festival days)
Chez Republic (Prague) - 2 days
Germany (Munich) - 2 days
Netherlands (Amsterdam) - 2 days
Belgium (Hasselt/Brussles) - 2 days (One of the festival days)
What do you think about the feasibility of this trip?
Does anyone have any suggestions of places to ... more »
Apologies if this post is repetitive, but I've been searching around and haven't been able to find the info I need.
I will be spending my honeymoon in Western Europe in April/May of 2013. I have already booked a return flight to Heathrow as I was able to get it for free with points.
We'll stay for a night on either end in London, but otherwise, we'd like to go travelling.
We know that our first leg of the journey will involve taking the Eurostar to Paris and staying there for about 5 days, but after that, our itinerary is much more open to suggestion.
I would very much like to travel to Spain and Italy. Our initial thought was to fly from Paris to Rome and stay there for 5 days, and then fly from Rome to Barcelona for another 5 days. We'd then go to London, spend a night, and return home to Canada. Can anyone suggest whether there is a better way to do this - ... more »
My hubby and I will be in Berlin for a few days and was wondering where is the best place to grab a drink while we are there?
I will be in the Bruges in October and was wondering where do you think is the best place to grab a drink?
I will be in the Netherlands in September. I am catching up with a friend in Amsterdam and was wondering where would be the best place to grab a drink?
I'm trying to book berlin-stockholm 07:12 train on 11August via bahn website. Everything seemed fine until an hour ago, now it says " no special fares available" and "fares not available" on standard fares column. Is it possible that ALL tickets have been sold out more than 3 weeks before departure? I can book the same journey one day before or after 11 Aug without any trouble.
Earlier this summer, I did exhaustive and exhausting research and planning for a trip to Italy and Austria with my mom. It was a great success; we both loved it.
Just a couple days ago, I got back from a fun but tiring trip to Turkey, which I had done a lot of research for.
At this point, I am more than a bit tired of trip research! So, I am hoping that with your help, I can take the lazy way out this time.
I would like to take my mom on another trip this summer. She has been watching the Tour de France on TV and commenting on the scenery (as she does every year), so I'd like to take her there (not necessarily to the places on the Tour route). We would like to spend about 2 weeks visiting (staying in) the lovliest villages set in the prettiest natural scenery, and we would like to do all traveling by train.
Could anyone suggest an itinerary (or a ... more »

I'm flying into BCN soon and I'm seeing in many sites that a train runs from BCN's T2 to Barcelona. However, I'm unable to find a route, because I'd like to know where it stops. I'm trying to get as close to Estació de França as possible. Can anyone help me out? I'd appreciate it a lot.
