Berlin - Recommendation
Hi,
Me and nine other girls are going to Berlin from Sunday to Wednesday and wondered if anyone has any recommendation on where to eat and drink, any clubs that would be good on Monday and Tuesday night, any cool activities or tours for throughout the day, Were going to the Zoo as I have heard it's brilliant but that's about all we know.
Also, can anyone tell me how much things are on average as we don't really know what would be an appropriate amount to take?
Any tips or pointers would be very welcome.
Thank you :)

Frankfurt Südbahnhof at night
Hi everyone,
I will be arriving to Frankfurt Südbahnhof during Friday night around 4AM and I need to catch the flight at 6:40. I did some research and I see that there is a bus 61 going directly from Südbahnhof to airport (only 30 min).
What I am wondering about is - should I expect some problems in the trainstation or with catching the bus? Is the bus stop easy to find and how safe is the Südbahnhof during the night?
Thanks for everyone who has some insight!

Going to Oktoberfest 2014! Any suggestions for itinerary?
HI!
I am planning a girls trip to Munich for Oktoberfest in 2014. We will be staying in Germany for about 14 days. What are the must do for this region? Does anyone have any suggestions for other areas to visit? Is the public transportation pretty good or should we plan on renting a car? We are really excited- I went on my first European vacation last May and am hooked! I loved the history and the culture of the area and can't wait to experience more:-) Any help is greatly appreciated-thanks!!

5 days between Hamburg and Berlin
Hello everyone,
My partner and I will be traveling from Hamburg to Berlin between July 28 and August 2, with my parents. We will already have spent some time in Hamburg visiting family, and we will be in Berlin for all of August, so the time in between is to see other interesting places in the general region. We lived in Germany many years ago but are not very familiar with this part of the country, and I was a bit too young to enjoy it properly!
My parents are not much for big cities, so we would like to see some interesting parts of the countryside. But they have expressed some interest in visiting Dresden.
Our general interests: the outdoors, i.e. hiking or biking, food & drink, and some history. We speak passable-to-good German, for whatever that is worth.
I hope this is not too inadequately researched, and I look forward to any recommendations.

Munich Hostels, Age Limit?
The city used to be quite (in)famous for it; can anyone tell me if there is still an age limit for staying at hostels in Munich?

Third-party vehicle insurance in order to legally park?
According to German law, must a vehicle have (at least) third-party insurance in order to be parked (not driven, not moved, just parked) on a public street or road?
If the answer is "yes", what is the penalty for non-compliance?

Foreign vehicle in Germany
A vehicle without German licence plates is parked on a city street. A circular yellow sticker (dated May 3rd) appears on the windscreen, saying that the vehicle shouldn’t be there and mentioning a possible fine of up to 10,000 Euros. Twelve days have already elapsed since the sticker was stuck, and the vehicle cannot be immediately moved because of the condition of its battery.
What is likely to happen next? Is there a fixed time interval between the initual issuance of the sticker and a subsequent visit by the authorities?
Very importantly, what is the legal situation as to how long a vehicle may remain on city streets? There must be many foreign-registered cars on Berlin’s streets, so the question appears to be: How long can a vehicle be here before it becomes illegal?
Finally, if the vehicle is promptly moved from its present site and -say- parked off-street somewhere, will the ...

How much for 6 days in Berlin excluding accomodation
I will be spending 6 days in Berlin in December. I already have accommodation taken care of, so I just want to know a rough estimate of how much I should need (attractions, transportation, museums, food, no fancy restaurants or anything like that) for 2 people. If you could give the amounts in Euros or Canadian, that would be great. I hope I've provided enough information.

Cycling around rothenburg/Nuremberg
We are looking at different organisers that have routes around this area and wonder if anyone had any recommendations on tour organisers or how easy it is to do independently. As long as it involves breweries my friend is happy, and the cycling keeps me happy! Any advice or tips gratefully received!

7 Nights in Germany: Itinerary Help Please
Hi All,
My husband and I are in Germany in June for 7 nights. Arriving in Munich from India (6am) and Departure from Munich(11am) . Here's what I have in mind:
- Munich : (3 Nights- incl Neuschwanstein Castle)
- Rothenburg (1 Night)
- Heidelberg (1 Night)
- Black Forest Region (2 Nights)
Need your help with the following:
1. Is the time allocation per city okay? Given the distances between these cities, I think it's do-able. What say you?
2. What should be the travel itinerary? We will have to come back to Munich for departure. We are planning to take trains/ buses to travel between the cities.
3. Which is a good route for covering Black Forest region so that instead of coming back to the starting point, we end the tour at another place that fits into the itinerary? Any good organized tour suggestions?
4. Where should we stay in Black Forest ( I was thinking ... more »

traveling with kids
My husband and I would like to travel from Dusseldorf to Amsterdam and from Amsterdam to Bruges via car. Is that a good idea? Is it economically cheaper that taking the train? Any one has done this trip lately? Also are there any day trips that are recommended around Dusseldorf?

getting a Chinese visa in Germany
Hello I am a duel Italian-American in Germany at the moment and I was curious if other foreigners have been able to get a Chinese visa in one of the Chinese consulates (frankfurt is closest) without a residency permit in Germany.
