Hello, I am going to work on Fenwick Island and I need to get there from one of those airports: Baltimore, DC or Newark, NJ. I have never been in the USA before so I am pretty sure I will get lost. Can you please recommend me the best way how to get to Ocean City. I dont have a driving licence so the car is not an option.
Thanks a lot.

I'm new on the boards, and have spent the last few days reading some of the great trip advice here. Now I have one question of my own...
I am traveling to the US for three weeks this fall with my boyfriend and my parents. We arrive in Denver on October 1 and depart from New York on October 24 - other than that, our plans are still somewhat open. Our initial plan is to spend a little over a week in the West, a little less than a week in the East (excl. New York), and one week in NYC.
We will be spending two nights in Denver and then renting a car, planning to drive in one looong day through the Rocky Mountains National Park (via Estes Park) to Salt Lake City - weather permitting via the Trail Ridge Road, but I'm hoping early October is still fine. From Salt Lake City, we'd drive to San Francisco - probably via Ely and Reno, but this is still up to discussion. We hope t... more »
Any advice that could be given on planning our road trip would be greatly appreciated. We are heading to America on June 16th, flying to Las Vegas from the UK and leaving from Canada (Calgary) on the 14th July. These flights are already booked and we need to spend a fixed amount of time in both these two places.
We would like a mix of fun towns/cities and adventures in the great outdoors; we're aged 29 & 34. We’re happy to buy a couple of internal flights to save on driving and have already spent time in California, Florida, NYC & New England area, so would like to visit other places.
To give you a bit of an idea of things we enjoy, it includes all forms of outdoors activities, such as walking, biking, horse riding, running, rafting, and surfing. We have spoken about perhaps wanting to take a boat trips (on the Mississippi?), see a baseball games if we time it right, w... more »
Greetings. I'm going to be driving through the Bullfrog Marina area of Lake Powell and wondering about paddling opportunities in the area. We'd like to explore some of the more narrow canyons, but not sure if any are reachable in a day trip from the marina. Also considering a day-paddle leaving from the Page area too. FYI -- Bullfrog does rent kayaks, but only the sit-on-top kind.
We'd love to a multi-day trip out of Page, but shuttle boats are too expensive ($300 for drop-off and another for pick-up). Boats hold six max -- if anyone is going to be here around June 22-24 and is interested in joining us, let me know!
Hey there, me and my girlfriend need somewhere to stay in LA just for a couple of nights in mid september, i would really appreciate some recomendations of location, where is a good central base for 3 days of seeing the sights, the cheaper the better aswell, a motel 6 works for us! thanks in advance
Hi everyone! Would seriously appreciate some advice on how to get from LAX to SF
So, I arrive at LAX at 10.20am on a Sunday and would like to catch the CA Shuttle bus which has a couple of stops at LA. The most convenient stop is located at Union Station, but the pick up time is at 12pm. I am not sure if I would be able to catch it with customs and all. Nonetheless, this is the most ideal with the Flyaway bus service and all.
The latest stop along LA is at North Hollywood at 12.45pm. However, I am unsure how I will be able to get there affordably.
Alternatively, would anyone be able to recommend any bus service which would take me to SF direct from LAX?
Any advice would be appreciated!
Thanks very much!

Firstly, I appreciate there are several topics already about Vegas and the Grand Canyon, etc, but I couldn't find one that gave me the information I needed. If you can direct me somewhere, I would be thankful.
I'll be getting to Vegas on Monday 27 August, and I have hotels sorted there for 3 nights. That's all I've booked so far. I eventually have to get to Los Angeles airport on September 30th, so I have just over a month in the Vegas/San Fran/LA areas.
I've spoken to a few friends, read some guide books, and looked at topics on here, and I've got a list of National Parks in the Vegas areas that seem awesome to visit. I'm not sure if it's practical to visit them all, but Google recommend a route for me (see image below).
I'd be leaving Vegas on or around the 30th August. I have no date in mi... more »
Really want to see the ice caves on superior islands. Going to fly into minneapolis mid february then rent acar and drive to Bayfield probably using route 63. What are the road conditions and are they passable at that time of year. Any and all comments are welcome. Thanks
I am going to be in the U.S.A for a 10 days this June and want to look for a nice 10 day trip by rented car considering I already have been to this place:
1. The west coast - (Flagstaff, Sedona, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Seatel and Grand Canyon, Zion, Brice and the yusemity..
2. From Washington state to Oregon, Montana, Idaho and South Dakota (Devil Tower, Badland Needles and Mount Rushmore.
3. New England - Including the Niagra Falls.
4. Florida - drove from there to New York City Through Charleston and the Blue Ridge)
Any advice will be very appreciated.
My brother and I are going to Seattle in May for a couple of days . Our plan is Mariners on the 23rd Roger Waters the 24th . Any suggestions on easy going bars / music clubs ? Our hotel is near Key Arena .
I am looking to go to California via South Dakota, Idaho, etc starting in Minneapolis, MN. I'm hoping to go beginning of june 2012, or beginning of august. Would like to spend a little time in Cali (LA, San Fran, etc.) and then head over to the Grand Canyon, four corners and whatever else is along the way. Plan on passing through Colorado on the way back up also. I'm looking for people my age, gender doesn't really matter. Not really planning on staying in hotel unless they are under like $30, which doesn't really happen a lot. Pretty casual road trip. I have more stuff planned out I want to see, so contact me if you want more information. I am planning on driving but looking for someone to split costs and driving time.

I am a tourist flying into JFK and want to get a prepaid sim card for the new ipad - I am only going to in Washington & New York for 2 1/2 weeks and don't want to rely on wi fi and hotels. Is there a vendor anyone can recommend at JFK airport to purchase such a thing?
My wife and I are heading to Chicago for our anniversary (in October this year) and would really like to stay on the Magnificent Mile. We would ideally like to spend no more than £100 (US$ 160) a night. Can anybody recommend a hotel in this area or close by that would not be a too expensive taxi ride to the Magnificent Mile?
I will be in the above locations with 3 friends this June. We have a rough plan and I would appreciate any advice that you may have.
3 nights in Boston. We've looked at berkeley hostel. Any comments/suggestions?
2 nights in Cape Cod/Rhode Island- think we are swaying towards Cape Cod. Should we go to Provincetown/ Hyannis (we have found a bus that would take us from boston to hyannis and then hyannis to NYC)! We know this would take less time if we were to go to hyannis.
Have you any suggestions on accomm here? we've looked at some hostels.
16th-17th- one night wash/one night philly
downtown washington hostel- £29.45 for 4-bed room for a night. We're not sure whether we should try and stop in philly on way back up to NYC?... more »
