We need to get from Skye to Glasgow International. We have an early flight from Glasgow Int. so we have booked a hotel the night before. What we are wondering is-will we be able to get from Skye to this hotel which is near the airport in one day? and if so, by ferry, train? What does anyone suggest? thank you for any advice. terrie
Going to Jersey in a few days, and sorting my currency collection, I found some leftover one and five pound notes.
These are the pre-2010 generation, serie 3 notes.
A search on the net gives conflicting info...are these notes still currently accepted in shops?
Could I have them exchanged in a bank, or should I scrap them?

I am taking my girlfriend to Ireland for our anniversary in September but am also planning on proposing in the country at that time. We are traveling across the country, but I have decided to propose in Donegal while we are staying at Lough Eske. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about romantic things to do around where we are staying so I can narrow it down. Not familiar with the area at all so any help would be amazing.
Thanks for your help.

Does anybody know the cheapest way to travel from Scotland to Dublin? I don't mind traveling in Ireland if need be.
This might seem daft to want to see what the weather forecast was for 3 or 4 weeks ago. I need to see the forecast not the actual weather. I can't find anything but it must be there somewhere. I assume that the daily or weekly forecasts aren't deleted once they become history.
I'm going to be arriving in London on June 9th, my flight arrives at 5:30am. I'll be meeting a friend in Heathrow when she arrives from Greece, however her flights doesn't land until 4:30pm. Is there much for me to do in or near the airport while I'm waiting?
I will have just landed from a flight from Australia, so I'm sure I'll be exhausted.
Someone has suggested that I book myself into an Airport hotel for a few hours, and shower and have a nap. Others have suggested going into London for the day, and others suggested just staying at the airport.
I've never been to London, so I'm not familiar with the airport or its location at all. Once I've met up with my friend we'll be driving to Somerset, so this could be my only chance to see London for a while.
If I did go into London for a few hours, is there somewhere I can securely leave my bags?
Any suggestions of how ... more »
I'm planning to walk the Cotswold Way in May.
If anyone has done the full walk, which direction do you recommend? North to South or vice versa?
