I'm a beginner of surf but i would still like to enjoy some nice and not too crowded place such as I hard to be' Kuta beach.
D you have any suggestion? I would obviously prefer some sandy spot to start with in order to avoid incidents.....
I heard about Canggu, anybody experienced that?
Thanks a lot in advance and ciao
Greetings to all!
I would appreciate any feedback from travel experts on my proposed itinerary early next year.
January 21-22: Arrive Singapore
January 22-23: Melaka
January 23- 25: Kuala Lumpur
January 25- 28: Penang
January 28- 30: Ipoh
January 30-February 3: Singapore (will hang about for Chinese New Year).
I'm a laid back 30 year old thats up for just about anything.
I am aware its the middle of peak season so should I book a bus from Ipoh to Singapore in advance?
Any suggestions/ recommendations would be welcomed. Cheers!
What would be the best way to get to Robinsons Shopping mall in Ermita from NAIA at 12 in the morning? Taxi? From what I know there are different color taxis. Which one would be the cheapest and how much roughly should I expect to pay. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Me, my wife (from Philippines) and my one year and 2 month daughter will be travelling in Bohol and Dumaguete at the end of January 2014.
I am glad to receive advices on the following subject:
- is there some problem to see tarsier and havin trek on the sancturary nowadays, and in the rice terraces?
- some advice to trek near twin lakes in Dumaguete?
- is so far from Dumaguete to Bacolod?
- for my daughter there a real risk for dengue or malaria? I am preparing to buy some good repellent, i suppose will be enough, and sleeping always (or almost always) in air conditioned room.
I hope this information comes of use to somebody. Palu, in Central Sulawesi, is not a bad place to extend an Indonesian visa. I helped a friend of mine extend a visa-on-arrival there. The Immigration Office is at 53 Jalan Kartini, about a 15 minute walk east of the Hotel Sentral. It's not too far from the Pelni office, but on the other side of the street. At least one member of staff there speaks good English, and she was very friendly and helpful in assisting us. We didn't have a sponsor, so my friend was told to act as her own sponsor, and fill out the sponsor form by herself. The only real requirement was for a flight ticket out of the country. We were initially told it would take 5 working days to process the application, but they agreed to give us the visa a day early in order to facilitate our travel plans. All in all, a friendly place.
If you extend here, you'll evide... more »
Hi there…has anyone stayed at either of these Hotel 81 hotels in the Joo Chiat area? Which one is the better one that doesn't have too many hanky panky rooms?
Hi everyone! :D
I am wondering if anyone has plans to do the Rinjani trek around the 13th of December?
Because I am wondering if somebody is willing to join although it's the rainy season I'm still determined to go.
I will arrive at Lombok around the 12th of December.
Hope hear from somebody!
Does anyone know if it is possible to visit the Sultan of Brunei's car collection?
Dear travel experts
I was planning to go to Borneo in December 2013.
After reading several websites I figured out December is in the high rainy season.
Also, Borneo is not that easy to travel because of long distances between the sights.
Can you guys recommend me another part of Indonesia for December ?
I already went to Sulawesi, Sumatra and Bali.
I like diving, hiking and cultural stuff.
Java sounds nice to me.

I'm new here so would welcome any links to useful info.
I'm hoping to fly to Singapore in March, meet up with friend and then take cheap transport to and spend time looking around Malaysia, with possibly moving on from there if the bug takes hold!
Would very much appreciate ideas, info on places to visit, things to do and see, cheap accommodation / transport etc
I am sixty nine, male, did quite a lot of traveling / partying during my misspent youth, so partying now is not a priority but not forbidden!, very fit for walking / cycling / back packing / etc. Would welcome meeting up with other travelers.
Thanks for any replies.
I'm flying from Penang to Singapore in two weeks, but the flight would arrive at almost midnight so I would completely miss the last MRT. Are there any rest areas for me to sleep at for a couple of hours only?? If I just wanna take a little nap in the airport, could I do that before heading through immigration? Not so familiar with the Airport, sorry. Please help :/
this is the link to the current Java train timetable. Just in case anyone wants it...
I'm travelling to Boracay for the whole of December 2013. Just wanted to see who is going there and if you wanted to meet up.
Travelling with friends but most are not going to be staying for the whole of December.....
Anyone ever been to Boracay for Christmas?
Hi! I'm planning to spend eight days in Sabah and I'm looking for suggestions of places to go. We are there during the Chinese New Year holidays in February, and would like to see some nature/wildlife, do some hiking (maybe climb Mt Kinabalu if it's possible), and spend a day or two at the beaches. I'm not sure if we will have enough time to go too far away from KK. Any advice or suggestions are thanked for in advance.
