What to do on Christmas Day in the Philippines

I am travelling to the Philippines on 23rd December for 4 weeks. We arrive into Manila and are wondering if we should stay in Manila for Christmas Day? What is there to do in Manila on Christmas Day? Or should we leave Manila for a better Philippines experience at Christmas? Any advice would be much appreciated!

Travel Itinerary advice needed - Indonesia 1/2 months Dec-Feb

Hello,

I was hoping someone could give me some advice. My girlfriend and I are looking to travel to Indonesia around Dec and will have about 1/2 months to play with. It seems such a large country with so many places to see that's its been a bit of a nightmare to sort out a basic itinerary as a starting point. Does anyone have any recommendations on a route and list of absolute must see places/experiences?

Both of us want to soak up as much culture as possible in that time but don't want to feel that we are simply rushing around and just skipping from place to place to tick off items on list.

vaccinations for Sarawak Sabah and Penninsular Malaysia

Hello,

I'm going to Malaysia for a month this July and am getting a bit worried about the health risks when I read the CDC website or other infectious disease centers. We want to see some jungle and rural areas but we also want to spend time in cities and beaches. Is the vaccine for Japanese encephalitis really necessary? it will set me back about 1000 euros (for three people) and we won't be in the jungle the whole time. Thanks for any advice or experience sharing.

Nice work, LP. Your chapter guide in NTT completely ignores lembata island. Was there a volcano or earthquake I didnt hear about. That,s the last of my money you,ll ever receive.

New International Air Services to Lombok

There will be two new International Air Services to Lombok starting in July this year.

Jetstar will commence flying from Perth to Lombok from 2 July this year.

Tiger Airways will start flying from Singapore to Lombok in July as well.

Air Asia was invited to fly to Lombok from Kuala Lumpur by the Indonesian Minister for Transport. It insisted on the Indonesian government provide guarantees for minimum passenger loadings, which the Minister was unwilling to provide.

I'll be in KL with wife and 2 Kids 2 and 4 y.o. and I'm looking for accommodation. I know there is no similar place to Khao San Road in Thailand, but I like to know what comes close to it. What area are the backpackers staying, what are the most vibrant places? Hotel recommendations are welcome, budget 300 Ringgit or below.

NEW Manila to Phuket Thailand.

Cebu pacific will start flying from Manila to Phuket Thailand on the 16th August.
3 times a week to start mon/wed/fri . Depart manila at 8pm and get to Phuket at 11pm.
Depart Phuket at 12 mn and get in to manila at 5.05am.
fares start at php999 ++
you can also fly with Cebu pacific from Manila to Bangkok. Clark to Bangkok. Cebu to Bangkok.
