HI, planning my next trip and would like to do some deep sea fishing.
I hear the sea between Philippines and Taiwan is bountiful...
Does anyone know of a company that offers fishing in this area?
now fly from manila to Batanes. Manila to Coron Palawan. Manila to Virac catanduanes.
there is a plan to serve six domestic routes by years end.
we are planing on getting to donsol may 25th to dive and hopefully see whale sharks... is there a chance to do that or is the season over by then?!
Philippines airlines has slashed the free baggage allowance per passenger from 15kg to 10kg.
and at the same time raised the fee slapped on for excess baggage for domestic flights to php200 per kg.
and if you don't check in 45 minutes prior to departure you will have to pay a php1500 fee.
Aviation report from capa.
the outlook for Philippines airlines/PAL express remains relatively bleak.
following a strategy shift which has resulted in the group exiting the budget market. low cost sister carrier
PAL express will be made into a full service carrier.
the PAL group will likely see it share of the Philippines domestic passenger market slip to LESS than 35%
from 42% in 2012.
Sea air part of Tiger airways has been struggling they recorded a lost of $34 million dollars in the Philippines
the only up side was Airasia now has a 11% share of the The Philippines domestic ... more »
My boyfriend and I will be travelling to SEA and then on to India next year. I know we can get an Indian visa in Thailand or Malaysia but the waiting times are around 5 - 10 business days.
My question is, can we travel around the country (not across borders of course) while our passport is at the embassy in Bangkok or KL? Is it sufficient to have a copy of our passport with us?
I am flying into MNL and want to move on to one of the great islands. after that i am planing on flying back to Bangkok/Cambodia/Laos...
is there any airport that offers international flights to the "mainland" or somewhere close to that? Online I cant find flights from either PPS or CEB...
How much have prices changed since the 2009 guidebook? I'm trying to get a really strong idea of how much our month is going to cost.
I'm flying to Medan tomorrow (May 18) and will head straight to Berstagi. Sunday I'd like to hike Sinabung then Monday or Tuesday head to Ketambe and sort out a trip to Gunung Kemiri (5-6 days round trip).
Please post questions, etc, here.
Would anyone happen to have any info at all about hiking to the top of Gunung Kajang on Tioman? Couldn't find squat on the internet or searching the TT.
I was wondering where I can find the cheapest flight from Manila to India or would it be better if i fly from another country?
Thoughts would be appreciated.
Hello fellow travellers,
I'm trying to figure out the best destination for our honeymoon next year in February. I get to choose where we go and prepare the whole shabang, but she imposed the conditions ( to which I agreed). The criteria are few but very precise.:
- see vulcanoes and heavy vulcanic activity (lots of fumaroles, mud pots, volcanoes etc);
- clear skies and good temperatures to have beach time;
- no need to take malaria pills;
- good diving spots
- if possible: see whales (but this is the least important one)
been doing some research and it seems that on mabul accomodations are either at the low end of the spectrum or at the very top, with nothing in between (eg "flashpacker"). mainly i am looking for something that has air conditioning 24 hours...shared bathrooms and everything else being basic is not a problem. is there anything like this available? p.s. i know i haven't given a price range; i really just want to know if there's something between US $25 and $600 pp/pn. thanks!
I will be visiting Indonesia in about seven weeks (first week of July) and have enjoyed using this forum as a great resource in my planning. I already have a sixty day visa even though I am only three days over the limit for 30 days. I have planned out a trip but after looking at what everyone else is doing I feel like I may be trying to do too much. I am flying in and out of Bali.
Six days / Bali - a day in Kuta, a few days in Ubud and climbing Gunung Agung with a guide. Overnight bus to Java.
Seven days / Java - Gunung Bromo, Yogyakarta and the two temples near by (can't spell them properly). Fly from Yogyakarta to Makassar
Ten Days / Sulawesi - Makassar to Rantepao, three days in Rantepoa, two days of bus travel to Pantai Bira via Sengkang, two days at Pantai Bira and then back to Makassar. Fly from Makassar to Maumere, Flores.
*Seven days / Flores &... more »
