I read on the Changi airport website that it is possible to connect airlines without having to go through custom and back in. But what I've read is not very clear. Here's my situation:
We will be arriving from Canada via Tokyo on United and I plan to fly from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur on Tiger. Going home is the reverse but flying out with Singapore Airlines.
Does anyone know if I can use this service at all? If so how do they track the luggage?
For the life of ma I cannot find any email adrfesses for Tiger airways to ask them directly this question :-(
5 days in Singarore, any one can help me get a nice tour? Thank you very much
I'm heading to Singapore for the first leg of a S.E.A tour in a month. I'm going to purchase a Sony NEX-6 camera for the trip as my current DSLR will be a bit too bulky. I've been told I might as well buy the camera I want out in Singapore instead of London. I've found a decent price for the camera online and was going to get it until i was recently told to just get it in Singapore as It will most likely cheaper be cheaper and I can claim tax back when I leave Singapore.
Thanks for any advice
First time traveller To Singapore. Using as a home base while doing rest of se Asia.

Few years ago I bought a knock off one in Bangkok that was 100% identical and cost around $35. Do things like this exist in Singapore?
Sorry I have no idea. Thanks
Hey, I've been to Singapore recently. Stayed there for few nights, Wanted to tTake a look at the city during day time, and i found a veery special yet once in a life time experience to do it.. The company is Ultimate Drive, it's a super car test drive, they have the Lamborghni Gallardo and Ferrari F430. Both are the Spider/Spyder version. I've booked the Black Lamborghini cause the staff over there recommended me to try it cause quite loud. Rode in it for 60min. Driving around Singapore City. The view, was marvelous. Really did enjoy myself in the Lamborghini. Driving through long tunnels was insanely fun cause the noise the bull produce is speechless.. great exhaust notes!! Really can recommend many of you to go there and try out the cool cars. Am looking forward to come back again to ride in the Ferrari.
I'm currently in India and need to travel to Hong Kong but the cheapest flight requires a stop and change of flight in Singapore, which also requires a transit visa.
Can i get one in India or can i get one when i land?
I am spending 2 months in Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. Having a "local phone" would be good to make some local calls or to have as an emergency phone to call the States in case of death, or serious illness.
I am from the US and want to buy an ....unlocked smartphone. Would it be better to buy that in Singapore, or should I buy that in the US?
Some people have told me that buying the phone would be a lot cheaper in Singapore, is that true?
And would the "connections" (plugs etc.) have standard US prongs? Or would all the phones be set up just to be used for Singapore?
Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Anyone know of any agents in Singapore who will process a Thai Visa quicker than the Embassy?
I know of "Hana Express" who I will be using to obtain a Indonesian Visa, but was wondering if there is a similar outfit available for Thai Visa??
Also, does the Thai Tourist Visa start on the day of issue or the day you enter the country?
Could anyone recommend a hostel in Singapore where I could get a cheap single room?
Nothing posh, just a basic fan room. And ideally in a place reasonably central-ish I could reach on the metro...
I´m going from Sg to probably Denpasar or Timor in july. What kind of budget airlines would you recomend that fly out of Sg?
I plan to be in Singapore for few days in April. I wonder if there are any public transport i.e train or bus connecting airport with the downtown ??
What is the cheapest way to go KL from Singapore, train or bus ?? Any idea of the cost ?
Thanks for reading and answering in advance.
I admit I am not a shopper. Going to Singapore I'm mainly there for the botanic gardens but I believe I should be able to pick up some decent business shirts and stylish casual shirts somewhere in this city!
So, I'm not after top end brands nor anything that will fall apart after the first wash. Can readers recommend some places where I can go midrange in clothing prices?
Hmm, what am I talking about? Well, in the equivalent of AUD I guess I'd like to be paying no more than SGD$50 (approx $AUD40) for some reasonable (not super nice international brand) gear.
Do I go to markets or stores or both and are there specific ones I should visit? Again, not a serious shopper so a quick in and out is my favourite scenario! TIA :-)
Im just curious, are the items bought on the I.T show qualified for tax refund at the airport? anyone who has any insight abot this?
