Colombia exit fee for land border crossings?
I am having a hard time finding information online about this, so if anyone has recently crossed the border to Ecuador or elsewhere by land, is there an exit fee you have to pay? We have stayed in the country for less than 60 days, if that makes any difference. Thanks!

Need Advice About Parque Nacional Manu & Madidi (Peru and Bolivia)
Hi There,
I'm heading to Peru and Bolivia in the summer and am on a pretty tight schedule of 16 days. I have almost everything that I want to do set up and ready but I need some help deciding which of these national parks to go to. Ideally I would like to spend 3 nights and 4 days in either of the Parque Nacional and am most interested in seeing animals and birds. I don't mind camping and don't mind staying in lodges, so I guess I have 2 questions:
1. Have you been to either of these places and if so, how were your experiences and who did you organise your tour/accomodation through or with? How did you get there and away?
2. Are there any good alternatives to these two destinations either in Peru or Bolivia and if so, could you give me some details of what you did, costs, companies etc.
Thanking you in advance for any help.
Richard

Ride share Bariloche to Pucon
Hi there! I'm a single female traveling alone and I was looking to see if anyone is heading to Pucon from Bariloche in the next few days. As we all know the prices of bus tickets have increased dramically and I was hoping to find someone who is traveling by car and help out with gas ect. I don't mind stopping over somewhere else first or even camping because I have all my gear with me! Please let me know. I'm thinking Sunday or Monday would be good to leave! Thanks

What to pack for Ecuador? How do you deal with malaria and kids?
Hi, We are travelling in Ecuador for a month with our 8 and 12yr old kids. Trying to cut down on too much gear, but still include the necessities. Is it best to travel with a sheet and sleeping bag, or are these generally supplied in hostels and home stays?
Has anyone had to figure out the malaria issue in relation to kids? We are planning on being in malarial areas for about 1 1/2 weeks. The 8 yr old is under the age that anti malarials are recommended.
Thanks

Viewing the Reventador Volcano (from a safe distance!)
Hello all,
Wondered if anybody could offer any advice - the Volcan Reventador is currently blowing it's top (in the east of Ecuador) and my friend and I would really like to see it if possible. Can anybody suggest a safe and sensible viewpoint of Reventador? We are in Cotacachi, and struggling to find any decent information online.
Actually travelling to Reventador itself is not our first choice for reasons of practicality and safety - there doesn't seem to be a great wealth of information about getting there online, but it seems like a very long haul from Cotacachi (nightbus?).
We've been looking at maps trying to figure out if we could see it from the town of Olmedo down the valleys, not too far from here. Anyone know if that's wildly optimistic? Obviously the cloudbase would have to be high, or it would need to be early morning.
We are due to head to Quito tomorrow, t...

S. America Travel tips with 1 year old baby
Hi - We would like to visit South American this summer and we're planning to bring our 1 year old. We are really open to countries/itineraries, and overall want to travel somewhere safe with clean water. Does anyone have any recommendations? It'd be great to find a town or resort that is family-friendly so I can hang out with the baby while my husband goes on nearby adventures. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Does the Manuel Tienda Leon Bus Company run 24 hours a day from EZE airport to its terminal in Av Madero?
Also is there a taxi rank at the terminal in Av Madero to take you to your hotel?
Azul airlines
Hi folks,
I have a question about Azul airlines , which flies in Brazil. Is it possible to book flights using its website from outside Brazil ? I supposedly booked a flight with Azul from here in Australia, using their website. I used my VISA card to book. Their website said that my booking was successful and it gave me a booking number....But no money has been taken out of my bank account, as of four days later. I also did not get any e-mail confirmation. I have also booked some TAM flights, which did debit my account and did give me e-mail confirmation. Just a bit concerned that the Azul one has not worked.
Thanks
Craig in Melbourne.

Camping trip in the jungle with Otorongo
Hey everyone
Geez this place was a wealth of information a month ago. I sincerely hope we get access to the archives soon. Searching 'jungle peru' doesn't even give me anything...
So I've been doing a lot of research, and I've had a lot of trouble finding what I want online. I'll be in Peru from April 15th to June 15th (roughly) and I plan on arriving in Iquitos by boat around the 1st of June. This will give me a solid 10-12 days there before I have to head back to Lima and catch my ride home.
In Iquitos, I would like to find a jungle excursion.
Now I'm not looking for a comfortable bed to sleep in at night, or a buffet of food for every meal all jumbled up with a bunch of tourists in some 'eco lodge'. I'm looking for a rough and tumble camping trip, carrying my gear/food, having a local guide show me surrounding communities. I suppose starting at a lodge would be cool si...

Spanish school in Sucre
No one seems to have any experience with Spanish schools in Cochabamba. How about in Sucre? I have read elsewhere that both Sucre Spanish School and Bolivian Spanish School in Sucre are good. Has anyone been to either of these or have another school that they recommend (or suggest I avoid? I've heard that FOX is not great.)
