Bus from Buenos Aires to Puerto Madryn
Is it worth breaking up the long bus journey from BA to Puerto Madryn by staying somewhere for one night on the way? If so, do you have recommendations of what town to stop in that is worth seeing?

Itinerary and bus advice- Iguazu Falls to Santiago
Hello! I plan on taking about 2 weeks to travel from Iguazu Falls to Santiago, Chile by bus. I am looking for advice about what cities to visit, how long to stay, and bus routes. I have a rough idea of where to go, but I don't know much about these places or the bus system in Argentina. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I am currently planning on visiting the following places:
Iguazu Falls and San Ignacio ruins
Santa Fe
Cordoba
Mendoza
Should I add any other places? Thanks again!

Buenos Aires to Machu Picchu
Hello,
I will be studying abroad in Argentina until December 9th and I am interested in traveling to Machu Picchu and then would like to return to Los Angeles by December 23. Essentially that gives me roughly two weeks to complete the trip.
Does anyone have any recommendations on the most cost efficient yet adventurous way to go about planning this trip?
Thank you

Going to Argentina in August, HELP!
my husband and I got free tickets to BA as a Christmas gift and we decided to go in August from 1-10. We both speak spanish so we dont have a problem with the language but we have no idea of what to do there, where to go, where to visit....
I really wanted to visit Ushuaia, but I'm not too sure about the weather (since we live in Texas) we are not used to snow AT ALL! That is our Plan A
Plan B would be visiting Mendoza and Los Andes
Plan C would be Iguazu Falls -Brazil-Montevideo, UR If we were to go along with Plan C, what cities in Southern Brazil should we visit? We would then make our way to Montevideo and back to BA.
Please let me know your suggestions, also what would you recommend us bringing, how much money do we need?
Also, we are planning on "backpacking" so we are not staying at any fancy hotels, and dont mind traveling by bus.
Thanks!

BA -Tango Fetival
I am thinking of visiting BA in late February or early March 2014 and heard that there was an international tango festival during this period. Does anyone know if this is a fact? I also saw on Anthony Bourdain's show a town outside of BA that had a weekly market on Saturday and Sunday that was like a festival with gauchos and dancing and great Barbeque. Does anyone know the name of this town?

Paraguay visa for US citizen in Posadas
Has anyone obtained a visa for Paraguay in Posadas, Argentina for entry through Encarnación? If so, how long did the process take? Some of what I've read said as little as one hour, and I'm hoping that's really the case.
(Cross-posted in Paraguay forum.)

Bus from Posadas to Buenos Aires
We will be in Misiones Province in the first part of August, and we were expecting to take the bus from Posadas to Buenos Aires. Searching the internet shows some schedules and fares for BA to Posadas, but not the other way around.
I just want to confirm that there are buses from Posadas to Buenos Aires. Does anyone have experience with this? I know, it's probably silly, but since I can't seem to find reliable info I just want to be sure.
If anyone does have experience with this, can we only buy the ticket at the terminal in Posadas? How early can we buy our tickets?
This is aside from the bus strike. Since we're going in August, we're just hoping it will be settled by then.

Bringing US$ to Argentina
We will be arriving in Argentina this coming Sunday (May 26). Should we try to change dollars to pesos here in the states, at the airport in Buenos Aires (and are the airport exchanges open on Sunday?) or are they so desperate for dollars down there that we're better off just bringing our dollars?
