Hello! I am trying to plan a trip to sweden in July taking along my 18 month old daughter. Any suggestions for itineraries? thanks! Also, is Sweden typically baby friendly in terms of restaurants and strollers?
I am planning to go to Iceland this year, in the beginning of May.
The plan is to rent a car and see the highlights, and if possible also include a two-day hike. Anybody has some good suggestions for an itinerary? And what is a good hike?

Hello fellow travellers.
Where is the best place in Iceland to see the NORTHERN LIGHTS?
I hear the north of the country is best, is it better to do a tour from Reykjavik or travel to the North?
I got 6 days in March and was wondering is best to stay in the capital or travel around?
I know I may not even see the Lights - but heres hoping..........
We are trying to find a budget for Iceland. We are planning two weeks, one week camping and the other in hostels. We are just curious to see what we should be saving. How much is food in the grocery stores? What's an average meal in a restaurant? Are there any crazy costs we might not have thought of?
We are from Canada and are going in August. Also if anyone has any info on cheap flights that would be great too!

I'd like to cycle around route 1 in Iceland in the coming months and am looking for a cycle buddy. It's 850 miles (1400 km) and I was planning on doing this over 3 weeks which works out at 65 miles / day with a few rest days thrown in there. Anyone interested?
I was wondering where the best place in Iceland is to see the Northern Lights?
Is it worth doing a trip from Reykjavik or moving around the island to see them?
I'm due to go to Arjeplog in Sweden at the end of next month. I'm there for 2 week and although I'm working I'd like to use my time off wisely.
So I wondered if anyone on here knows of anything worth visiting or doing around that area?
Will hire a car at the airport & get going via Selfoss to Vik on our first day (May)
Will need to top us cash - Are there any ATM's & banks on the route??
Hi. My husband and I will be traveling to Copenhagen late June and looking for a good local guide for 2 days. Any recommendations? Thank you.
I'm heading to Iceland in end of May for four days/nights, and one thing I'd definitely like to do is to make the drive from Reykjavik to Jokulsarlon. Now it sounds like it's actually possible to do this as a long day trip, but I figured I'd have more relaxing time if I spread it over two days instead.
So here's my question -- is there a town between Reykjavik and Jokulsarlon that you guys would suggest I spend the night at? I've been searching around on TripAdvisor for accommodations, and it looks like there are some options in Vik -- but I would prefer some place closer to Jokulsarlon. Would driving past Jokulsarlon and staying at Hofn be a better option?
Together with my two brothers, I will trek the Kungsleden mid-August this year, from Nikkaluokta to Abisko. Once arrived, we would like to keep on exploring the area for one more week. We thought about heading over to Svolvær or Tromsø and hop on a Hurtigruten ship for a few days. But unfortunately this option will most likely drop out due to budgetary reasons.
We would love to see the Lofoten Islands though, as we heard the region must be beautiful.. Does anybody know about an alternative to Hurtigruten? Or shall we rent a car and drive around along the coast? Better up north or down south? We're open to any (also adventurous) suggestions.
Lots of questions, I know :-) But as we do not know the area at all and would like to make the most out of our trip - we would be very grateful for any advice.
Many thanks in advance & kind regards

we are planning to get to Iceland in June/July - want to rent a car. We heard that there might be private persons renting out their car, which should be much cheaper than from car companies. Any experience with this? If so, maybe can we get the contact details of your car renter?
Second question: how much money would we need to consider for about 7-10 days (if possible, no eating in restaurants, but selfcooking in hostels, B&Bs,...)...of course we would like to do some visiting of sights, horseriding maybe, swimming,...
thanks a lot!
Planning a two week self drive from Tromso and north of plus the Lofothen Isl the second half of May. In general, what weather condition should we be prepared for.
Also, what's the current price of petrol?
Thanks in advance for any comments.
