I am going to china next month and i wanted to ask: who to get from Huangshan, wuyuan & Wuhan in this order.
I know there isn't any train connecting those cities. If posible by bus which one, who much time & costs of ticket.
Any other advise would be gladly welcome.
Thanks in advance.
Hello! :) I'm going to China in a couple of weeks, and will be spending most of my time in Xinjiang. I was really keen to do a camel trek over a couple of days in the Taklamakan desert around Hotan, until I saw photos of the Gobi around Dunhuang and fell in love. As much as I love riding camels, I don't think I can do two of them due to time factors, and so I was wondering if anyone could recommend one over the other, considering the weather in June. Is one more scenic/awe-inspiring than the other, or rougher traveling? Any help would be appreciated! :)
I am currently 19 and looking to travel to japan july/august 2013. i will be sting there for about three weeks. anyone who has been there before i would appreciate some advice on things to do andplace to go all iv got so far is climbing mt fuji and Disney land im lookng to spend most of my time in tokyo but i would also like to see other parts of the country.
I am heading to Osaka for 10 days very soon and want to know of any great cheap eating places, bars, restaurants and anything else we must see in the city.
We are on a bit of a budget but want to really experience what Osaka has to offer.
Are there any cool roof top bars in Osaka?
We are travelling from Australia, so really like the vibrant city offering.
Next month I'm planning to go to Kaili, western Guizhou. I want to go hiking from Xijiang to Paiyang but I'm struggling to find a map. Is it possible for me to pick a map up in Kaili? Does anyone know if there are any Miao festivals around Kaili in July?
Hi, can anybody recommend a couple of good hotels, centrally located in Shanghai please I would budget for spending at around USD 50-70 a night. Thanks
I'm flying into Shanghai next weekend, and SIM cards aren't compatible with Verizon while their international rates are pretty expensive.
After spending a day in Shanghai, I then plan to also see some other cities in China. Afterwards, I also plan to travel to Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Thailand. I may also see the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos
So I plan to spend maybe 2-4 weeks in China and then a couple months in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and SE Asia. There is a possibility that I may stay in China or another Asian country in the future, either on vacation or by becoming an English teacher.
During my summer vacation in China, I don't intend to use the phone often as I can just use skype to contact family back home
Would it be advisable to purchase a phone? or rent a phone such as through PandaPhone?
Anyone know what are the best and closest waterfalls that you can get to that are relatively close to Shanghai?
I'll be travelling to Kyoto from July 14-18 during the Gion Matsuri festival. Since this will be my first time in Kyoto, I was a bit worried that it will be hard to see the different sights with the large crowds that will no doubt be in Kyoto at this time. Does anyone know if the tourist sights/subway/buses will be overly packed during these times. Should I avoid coming at this time? Thanks for your help!
Planning a trip to Japan in late August/early September for 3 weeks and are looking for some suggested itineraries.
Wondering if anyone knows if it's quicker to take the bus or the train from Jinan to Taiyuan and how long each would take approximately?
Folks - I want to travel the first week of August in Inner Mongolia. Can't afford an elaborate tour. Just want to go to Badain Jaran desert and ride a camel etc.
Can you help? Do you want a travel buddy?
Let me know.
I want to buy ticket for Beijing - Moscow k19 train. It is going directly to Russia via Manchuria. Is it easy to buy this ticket from train station in Beijing? The next train is in 26 May and i want to buy ticket for this date but i will arrive to Beijing in 25 may. Can i find ticket for this route in last day or one day before? Or I should buy it at least 1 or 2 weeks before departure date? Do you have any ideas?
I have booked a flight to arrive in Shanghai for this Saturday and I plan to also see Hangzhou, Suzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing, Changsha, Shenzhen and Guangzhou. I am also considering seeing Xiamen and Guangxi also. Afterwards, I also plan to travel to Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Thailand. I may also see the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos
I'll also be traveling alone and I know very little Mandarin (completed the first 10 parts of Pimsleur's Mandarin course) and no Cantonese. I heard traveling in Chengdu may be a problem since theres not many English speakers there. Is that true?
I'm not sure what is the best order to see these places in order to save the most money and time. I've done a little research and it seems that it would be cheaper to travel from Shanghai/Hangzhou/Suzhou to Chongqing/Chengdu to Guangzhou/Shenzhen to Xiamen to Taiwan to Philippines to Vietnam to Thailan... more »
