as I told u before a friend of mine is just back from a trip to Iran and he has brought a booklet of tours to nature by an agency located in Shiraz ( PARS TOURIST )
as I told u i didnt get the chance to have one of this ,the time I have been to iran ,but I'd rather to share and have you Ideas about some of the destinations mentioned in the book .
under the category of Nature watching tours a place is mentioned ,named KOHMAREH SORKHI .
it is described as a mixture of sun, river ,mountain and trees ....
that sounds really like a suitable place to spend some times ...
so in case u are going to iran u can also search for it ,and in case anybody has some idea about I would be happy to know about .
What is going on with the cost of the Iranian tourist visa from the embassy in Wellington?!
200NZD for a tourist visa?! I'm sure it wasn't so much when I checked a month ago...
We just entered iran with our camper van without any problem.
I have been in Iran almost a month now and am overwhelmed with the friendliness and warmth and kindness I have met with. I will post about that in detail later but this post is re the Silk Road hotel in Yazd.
The hotel itself is nice but the manager is something else! He speaks almost no english, conveniently changes his mind re the room rate when he wants, is just plain rude and his underlings take their cues from him. The internet has not worked in weeks and any requests to staff are met with a rude sniff as they turn away.
I had invited a couple of local women who had befriended me to a meal at the hotel. The manager apparently did not like it. He started yelling at them for talking to foreigners. All this of course was in Farsi and my farsi at present is not up to it. After screaming and shouting in front of a roomful of people he then had the audacity to call the p... more »
I want to fly into Amman then go overland to Egypt Sharm El Sheikh and then fly into Europe. I'm not sure if I will have any problems at the cairo airport without an official onward ticket. Anyone done this or have info?
I am a 40-something woman planning to travel to Israel and Jordan (Petra) in December 2013 with some female friends from the Washington, D.C. area; none of us have ever been to this area, although we are all seasoned travelers. We are planning a two week trip, going to Jerusalem immediately from the airport for 4-5 days, including a day trip to Masada and the Dead Sea. From there, we will take the bus south for 3-4 days, possibly stopping at the Negev, before going to Eilat and then to Petra for 1-2 nights. We then plan to fly from Eilat to Tel Aviv for 4-5 days in the north, including Galilee (hoping to get to Akko, Sea of Galilee, Caesarea, Tiberias, possibly based in Haifa.. I welcome any comments and suggestions, but also am got to list a bunch of specific questions that I would welcome advice on. Does this itinerary sound reasonable? Will be end up paying two Israel departure tax... more »
I'm heading for Israel in August and was wondering what kind of hassle i might have entering at Ben Gurion with a Syrian visa (+ Moroccan and Jordanian stamps) in my passport. I'm a 21 year old male entering on my own, purely as a tourist....
all and any advice from experience very welcome!
I would like to know if it´s very hot in September in central Iran (Shiraz, Esfahan, Kerman, Yazd). I have read that now temperatures are rising above 40-43ºC in some cities. Is there usually air-conditioned in budget accomodations?
Hi. I just managed to get an extra day in Palestine free from my schedule before I leave. I really want to see Hebron, even if it's just for a few hours. I've been told the best experience is to find a Palestinian who is from there to show me around. The problem is this is for tomorrow (Wednesday, July 17). There's a chance I could also do it Thursday morning instead. I know it's Ramadan and it's last minute, but does anybody have any suggestions?
I am spending a week in Dubai from September 1st, and I really want to do one of these overnight desert safaris that I've stumbled upon on the web. Can anyone recommend one of these? It seems like there are a couple of different companies doing them.
Also, it's my first time there and I have a week to spend, so if anyone has any other great recommendations I am all ears! :D
I (female) have following questions:
1) In the visa application photo, my hair is not covered with scarf in the application photo. Will it be a issue?
2) In the form, it's asking LIST ALL COUNTRIES YOU HAVE VISITED. There's not enough space to list over 80 countries I visited. Besides, I don't wish to draw their attention. The simpler, the better. Shall I list the ones stamped in my current passport?
Tell me your experience. Thanks.
hello every one
I had posted this in Middle east page and felt like here is more related ,so I just copy and paste it here .

Has anyone ever booked a flight online with Iran Aseman Airlines?
I'm trying to book a flight from Dubai (UAE) to Shiraz, however the website doesn't give the option of picking any cities in UAE. Also, if I just select "UAE" in the dropdown box, no cities come up in the arrivals box.
Would appreciate any help, thanks!
I plan on travelling in Iran for 2,5 weeks from roughly Augusts 25th till September 10th. I plan to enter Iran from Armenia and move south through Tehran ending in Shiraz. From there I will fly out again. I got a couple of questions about travelling in Iran.
What is the amount of money that I would expect to spend every day? I would stay in and eat at budget places, use mostly public transport and visit historic sites and museums. From reading on the internet and LP I expect to spend something like 40 euro every day. Any recent visitors to Iran who can confirm this?
2. Changing money
What is the best place (best exchange rate) to exchange money? Banks, hotels or exchangers on the street?
3. Sleeping at a budget place. mosaferkhaneh
Is there a rough estimate about what a night at a budget place / mosaferkhaneh would cost? Can I count on spendin... more »
I’m interested in going to Kurdistan at the end of September and just starting to research the trip, and have a number of questions some of you may be able to answer.
I’m guessing independent travel is possible but how easy is it to get about and find transport, how much does it cost.
How available will accommodation be at the end of September, and again what are the costs?
I’m pretty easy to please once I’m somewhere new, but does anyone have any “Must do” places or things I should see. I’ll have about seven days I guess.
