Hello champions. I'm on the way to the Rugby world cup, and will be at Dubai Airport around the time of two big matches. Does anyone know of any sportsbar/sports viewing facilities? Thanks so much, cheers Jacko
I have an Emirates Bank debit card (Visa Electron) drawing on a savings account there. I am off to the USA soon.
What should I be aware of in terms of using it there for purchases and/or ATM withdrawals?
Thanks in advance.
does anybody know where this new ice bar is located in dubai? is this in a mall? thanks
I plan on travelling to Abu Dhabi soon and I am considering continuing onto Dubai. Can anyone tell me whether there are bus or taxi services linking these cities and if how often are these services available and what is the approximate cost of these services
does anyone know if it is permissable for men to wear speedo-style swimwear at Dubai public beaches? Is there one beach in particular that is more relaxed than others? merci~
Are there any electrical outlets at the airport for people to charge their phones, use laptops, etc? Do the outlets accept the 2 pin European Schuko plugs? Thanks!
Has anyone had any experience with Priceline in Dubai.
If you can recall.... what did you bid? for what star level? what hotel did you get? happy or not?
Hi, we have a 25 hr (12 midnight to 1 AM the following night) stopover in Abu Dhabi on the way to Europe. Etihad will provide accommodation, at the Abu Dhabi Airport Motel. Can we get to do something touristy in Abu dhabi easily from the airport motel? We'll have a whole day. Or should we go to Dubai and back? Would appreciate any advice! Thanks
Hi there.. I'm originally from Sydney - Australia and considering a move to Dubai as i hear the working conditions and rewards are very worthwhile.
Wondering if anyone and give me any general knowlegde on life in the UAE.. or if there are any other Australians out there who have also made the move
for work purposes?
I just arrived at Al-Ain, and I would like to know if there are any good websites, phone numbers or rental companies for housing/villa rentals. Also how is the rent comparing with Dubai/Abu Dhabi? I am urgently looking for a decent 1/2-bedroom apartment or a villa. I will stay in Al-Ain for a couple of years. Thanks
Does anyone know of any reputable storage services offered by/at/near (in that order of preference) the Dubai airport? I'm going to be flying into Dubai for a trade show, then taking 10 days to backpack around Delhi, India, and then returning home via Dubai. I only want to take my one backpack with me to India, and Shipping my luggage home apparently is going to cost something like $400-$900. Since I have 6 hours between my return to Dubai and my flight back to the states, I would have enough time to get my luggage out of storage (if it's relatively close or inside the airport) and check in again.
Hiya, I've an option of a Dubai stop over the week end of 10th of Nov or 17th of Nov and I wanted to know which is more favourable to shopping - any sales on at that time? I am particularly interested in visiting the gold souk so if you can please let me know which of these week ends is better it would be fantastic.
Thanks a bunch.
Messed up booking our flights and girlfriend and I now have ten hour stop over in Dubai. We land at midnight on a Friday/Saturday and were wondering if its worth getting a cab into town (cost?)to see whats going on. Have absolutly no interest in shopping, shops or shoppers , but would love to see some of the crazy architecture. Is there a good view point we could head to, maybe with a bar/restaurant. We only have hand luggage and won't be dressed up as were headin to Zanzibar to laze around. We don't need visas so it should be easy enough to do maybe four hours night time sightseeing.
It's got to be woth a quick look, what do you think?
I'm off to Dubai for three days in October and I just want to know what is a good area within Dubai to do all the touristy things.
I've been looking at hotels in the region of £45 per night so if you can bear this in mind when suggesting somewhere.
Do you have any suggestions of even cheap hotels in a good location???
We had our first baby on the NHS in London (they were brilliant and it is of course free) but there's no state health in Dubai. Would be it be very expensive to have a kid? Is it covered by insurance?
