Anyone driving from Guad to DF about 3/24 care to share expenses?
Last year my husband and I traveled to Veracruz to visit family, and next week we are scheduled to visit Veracruz again, but this time with our two daughters. The last visit was perfect, no problem etc, but with the increase in violence in Veracruz I have been more on edge.
Anyone experience Veracruz in the past few weeks? What has your experience been? We are traveling about 4 hours west of port city to a small town called Zongolica (near Orizaba)....
Any input would be greatly appreciated! I have been freaking out since the family from Texas was killed in December -
Here is a new and very informative Cabo San Lucas web site with an incredible new webcam.
Looking into my first trip to Mexico for about 5 days. Thinking of an all inclusive trip that has the best beach and little or no children. I've traveled all through Thailand and Hawaii and really enjoy just relaxing on the beach- but I would like to try something new so Mexico keeps coming up when people are recommending nice beaches...
I plan on posting on the Carribean Thread to but I would like to go with a less expensive vacation this time.
Also, I'm a non drinker so I'm not concerned with the opinions on all inclusive with best bars or night life.
Any and all suggestions would be helpful. Budget around $1000.00 to $1500.00 plus spending money for shopping and I plan on sometime in May 2012.
Can anyone shed any light on the current travelling conditions/security on the coastal hwy south through Michoacan towards Laz Cardenas? I will be driving through there soon and am sure it's fine, but after the activity in Guadalajara over the weekend, i figured i best check...
It only lists the full price even when I clicked Inapam. D
oes anyone know a workaround?
We are planning a trip in Yucatan in May and would like to hear suggestions of hotels in the above cities that would be family friendly. We will be travelling with our 10-month old baby.
We are willing to pay up to $80, but aim around $50, per night.
Also, would you know if Gran Cenote, near Tulum, is accessible with a baby backpack? Or do we need to go down ladders?

Does anyone know how/where I could watch the NCAA basketball tournament in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, Mexico? I am especially interested in the Montana/Wisconsin game (Go Griz!)
Is there any where in Guadalajara that it is possible to watch the games of the NCAA tournament or is it possible to stream it on line?
My family is wrapping up 5 months of international travel in Quintana Roo. I'm looking for advice on the best spot. We have 8 days and are most interested in a low key place with great snorkeling. We have two kids - age 4 and 6 so calm, shallow waters is key. Off shore, easy access snorkeling and simple but nice accommodations. We are considering Isla Mujeres, Cozumel and Akumal. I'd appreciate any advice! Thank you!
Thanks to the guys who briefed me on pulque in DF. Any info on Guad?
I am interested in seeing Palenque and my trip thus far is taking me from Cancun down to Bacalar.
I was wondering if anyone knows how to best get form there to Palenque?
A friend of mine who I am traveling with is flying out of Chetumal, would it be easier to go to Chetumal with her and then head further on to Palenque?
Are there any worthwile stops on the way? Just wondering if it would be good to take the trip in two days since it seems long.
Thank you so much for your help!!!
Has anyone stayed at either of these? Both look good value for money, wondering which is in better location eg close to best beach (we are 2 girls in our 30's) but also close enough to restaurants to walk.
I see Casa Ticul is quite north, wondering if a bit out of the way?
Anyone now traveling in Mexico city?
I got a ticket for folklor ballet tomorrow march 14th at 8.30pm in Bellas Artes, anyone interested?
Greetings from Queretaro.
I hope I can get a direct and quick answer here, from anyone who knows or has done this.
.I leave tomorrow for Xalapa. I was hoping I could go to Pachua, Tlaxcala and then to Xalapa. I was just told by someone at the hostel I cannot. Does anyone know if there are first class buses from Pachuca to Xalapa? About 5 years ago, I bused it from Tlaxcala there. Now I am thinking I will have to go to Mexico Norte and then over. Anyone know for a quick answer. Should I go to the airport and then to Cordoba. Sorry for late question, but been running like crazy.
No answers needed after the 14th as I will be on my way!
