Visa and Combo cruise and later Land trip
We are Canadians and have booked a flight to Istanbul, arriving a day before cruise, then a cruise of the Greek islands and mainland (with stops on Turkey Coast).
when we return, we are doing a separate land cruise. The way I read it we will each need a $192 multi entry visa.
Does anyone have any comments on this?

Questions for hiking in Svaneti
Hi Georgia fans,
I am planning a six day stay in Svaneti from ten till 15 June. For this trip I have a few questions:
1. Is it easy to hitchhike from Mestia to Adishi?
2. Are there any home stays in Adishi, if yes; which one can you recommend?
3. I am impressed by the beauty of the Tetnuldi glacier; will I be able to do a one day return trip to this glacier, leaving from Adishi? Assuming that this isn’t doable, what is the shortest and fastest way to reach it?
4. I want to hike from Ushguli to Lentekhi in approximately three days; it will be necessary to hitchhike now and then, enough opportunities to catch a ride along the way?
5. What public transport possibilities are there from Lentekhi to Kutaisi?
Thank you in advance for your effort to answer my questions.
Cheers,
Erik

Sibiu to Hunedoara
Hello fellow travellers, please help!
Never thought renting a car in Sibiu could be this difficult, all cars are rented out until tomorrow 5pm, which would mean an entire day will be wasted. So instead of driving to Hunedoara, what are the other options?
Please let me know, thanks!

Istanbul Visit
Hi,
I will be spending 3 days in Istanbul. Is it worth it to be on visits to the sights with a guide, or do most museums and attractions have information one can read in English? What would be the best museums to see in a few days? Does anyone have any hints as to how to organize the days?
Thanks.

Turkish Bath
Hiya,
This will be the first time I visit Istanbul. I am looking to have a superb Turkish bath and massage and would love to do it while I am there.
Can anyone recommend the best place to go?
Really looking forward to our holiday at the beginning of July.
Any advise is much appreciated.
Albania travel
I am thinking of travelling through Albania to reach Montenegro this summer. however, there is very little information in the internet about travelling in Albania.
Would it be safe for a lone 21 year old women to travel?
would I be likely to meet other travellers on the way?
would a budget of 30 euro a day be sufficient (stay only in hostel dorm rooms - eat from shops and markets, only occasional meal out, some drinks)
how easy is getting around?
any hints or tips will be much appreciated! thanks!

Long stopover in Istambul
Hello TT
I'm looking at a flight with a 24 hour connection in Istambul (!)
If I take it, will we have time to see a few things before the flight out (at 18.50) or is it not worth the hassle? (It'll be early Sept, and we'll have a 6-month old baby, although she'll be breastfeeding so no bottles to messa bout with)
Any idea if Turkish Airlines will provide accomodation, food etc? I've received mixed messages...
Thanks!
S

Renting car in Skopje, drop-off in Athens: possible?
so the plan has arisen for our family to fly to Skopje, hire a car, and do a road-trip through Macedonia and Greece which is to end in Athens, Greece.
Booking websites for car rental companies allow to do this (but charge, as was to be expected, a one-way drop-off fee): is this correct? Am asking since I keep reading that the reverse scenario is impossible, i.e. one cannot hire a car in Greece and drive with it in Macedonia.
Does anyone have any experience with this in terms of paperwork needed, and whether the insurance which we will be taking out in Skopje, will also cover the trip through Greece?
And, most sensitive of all: if we are driving around Greece with Macedonian licence plates, does this raise any issues?
Thanks in advance for any advice and experience!

Cesky Raj in November
Hi,
I'll be visiting Czech Republic in November and Cesky Raj is one of the places that I'd love to go to. But from what I've read about Cesky Raj, it's more oriented to the outdoors, and since it's November when I'm there, is it still worth visiting?
Thanks!

buying food in cabana - fagaras mountains ?
Hi,
Me and two friends are gonna hike in fagaras mountains from june 9 till june 16th.
Anyone knows if we have to bring our own food? Can we buy some at the cabanas? Are they open?
Can anyone recommend some trails? I can't find a lot of information..
Are there many cabanas?
Looks like there is a main ridge trail, but it seems a bit 'moon landscape' to me. Can you easily go down to the valley and up again so you cross the rivers and forest more?
Thanks!

Island Hopping Itinerary
Hi There,
Looking to spend approximately 7-10 days in Croatia, focussing on a romantic, island hopping adventure! We are either flying into Rijeka (Krk) to stay with friends for about 2 days, then continue on. The islands that we were thinking about are: Hvar, Vis, Dubrovnik. We have heard mixed feedback about Korcula and Pag...your thoughts? We would like to see as much as possible, but also don't want to rush around not really enjoying or seeing anything. We would like to go to the "Blue Cave" both assessible from Vis and Hvar. Any idea on the route? Do you think that we should see more? We were thinking of renting scooters on the islands that we feel like exploring more, perhaps a wine tour, secluded beaches, cave diving, etc. Any recommendations? Since it is our anniversary we would like to stay somewhere nice in Hvar, Vis, Dubrovnik - nothing expensive, but with nice views and...

Best authentic coast place to visit in Montenegro
Hello,
We are a family of 6 (age 3 to 44) planning a roadtrip from Triglav Nationalpark in Slovenia to Montenegro in july.
We have been travelling Croatia a few years ago and found in particular the island Dugi Otok to be a very special place.
Now we are planning to go further south and spend a week in Montenegro.
We are looking at the bay of kotor area - but it is a bit difficult to find good and reliable information on places in Montenegro that have these features:
Few tourists
Beautiful nature
Good beaches
Relaxed, authentic local (village) culture and life
Posssibility to rent house / apartment
Tips and ideas would be highly appreciated :-)

Getting to Ihlara valley
Our original plan was to leave Egirdir to Konya, see the Mevlana museum, stay overnight and bus to Goreme the next day. But now we are keen to see the Ihlara valley, and were wondering if we could somehow leave egirdir tomorrow morning, leave our luggage at the Konya bus station, quickly see the museum with a taxi, and then get to Ihlara via, Aksaray. It sounds like the day tours from Goreme are rushed and not for us. Otherwise we may skip the museum and just head to the gorge tomorrow. Thanks for any help.
