Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get a bus from Split to Dubrovnik?
and how about on the ferry? are there fast ferries from Split to Dubrovnik?
which is quiker and how much to they cost?
I have only 1 day, and no nights, in Zagreb. I arrive on an early morning domestic flight and leave the same night on an international flight.
I want to spend the day looking around the city, however i need to leave my bags somewhere.
Can anyone suggest somewhere that i can leave them? Im thinking the airport probably wont have anywhere... but what about a tourist information centre or somewhere like that? or lockers at a bus station?
Any suggestions would be great.
Does anyone know if you can get to Plitvice national park from Rajeka?
or do you have to go through Zagreb or Zadar to get there on a bus?
I am trying to find budget accomodation in plivice national park for me and 1 friend.
Can anyone suggest a good place to stay for under 30-40 euro per peson per night?
I am thinking about korana campsite bungalows - has anyone stayed there?
Also - tips on how to actually get to the lakes from the accomodation would be great. Are there buses or is all in walking distance?
hey everyone, im hoping to go on a ferry from bari to dubrovnik overnight on the 29th June this year. im only thinking of getting a deck chair shouldi i book my ticket now or just line up when i get there?

We are taking a boat/biking trip on the southern dalmatia islands. We'd like to do a little snorkeling, but don't want to bring gear from the US and have to carry it for the following 4 weeks (we have to take bike helmets/clothing, too). Are there any places in Trogir/Split or maybe Hvar or Korkula to buy relatively inexpensive snorkeling gear?

I'm planning to spend 14 days in Croatia with my girlfriend in late August, island hopping and generally seeing as much as I can along the coast. I've got the LP guide book but was wondering if anyone could suggest a reasonable itinerary? Would like some lazy days on the beach, some site-seeing and a bit of time just watching the world go by. Would rather stay in private accommodation and happy to take ferries/buses etc. Also happy to get a flight to any airport along the coast.
Thanks on advance
We want to do a cruise from Split or Trogir for a few days or max a week in august.
Is it better to book it ahead or just look for a cruise when we are there?
If you have some tips or links for a nice company, please sent them to us, thanks.

I'm going to be visiting Croatia in late July/early August and am planning to spend one night in Split and one in Dubrovnik (both of them Saturday nights). Is is advisable to book somewhere to stay and if so could somebody recommend somewhere not too expensive in both of these cities? I've heard you can rent rooms in people's houses. Is that right?
In between we're planning to spend some time kicking around Hvar, Brac, Vis, Korcula, etc. I've been told it's not too hard to find somewhere to stay if you are prepared to take what's offered, even at the height of the tourist season. Is that also right?
I'm planning to travel via ferry in Croatia in mid-june and was wondering whether I need to pre-book ferries, or whether I can easily get a ticket on the day providing I know the timetables...
Rough plan as follows:
Split to Starigrad
Starigrad to Mijet
Mijet to Dubrovnik
Thanks in advance!
My girlfriend and I (33, 31) are planning around 5 weeks in Croatia, on our way from Aus to the UK. Unfortunately, the only timeframe we have is high season, arriving in mid July and leaving in mid to late October. We were thinking of probably 2 or 3 weeks around Zagreb and 2 or 3 weeks on the coast, staying in budget to moderate accommodation.
Does anyone have any idea what costs will be like? Im guessing around Au$100-200 per day?
Also, we tend to be 'sort it out when you get there' type of people when it comes to accomodation and most other things. Will it be difficult to do this during peak season, i.e. should we book ahead?
Any other suggestions?
Does anyone know, whether there are flights from Pula to Dubrovnik, and what the cost would be?
Hi guys!, hope you can help me in this one. Any idea of time tables and fares?.
Can I buy the tickest in Bari on the same day I want to travel or do I have to book it first?.
This August myself and my OH will be in Croatia; it'll be my second time, although I have never traveled further south than Rovinj and Pula.
This was the route that I had in mind, so tell me if it's do-able or if there is anything you would change
Dubrovnic - 3 nights, have booked an apartment, will set off on morning of the fourth day
Mjlet (not many people have this on their itinerary, is there a reason?) nowhere booked because we don't know how long to spend)
Korcula (3 nights)
Havr (5 nights) thinking of booking somewhere in the two nights in the town, and then three out along the coast for chilling.
Split - Dubrovnic (by car to the airport in Dubrovnik then home to Dublin.)
