Just to let any travelers know who are thinking about staying at the Zugdidi Hostel, the address in the LP Guide Book, the 4th edition, is wrong. The have moved to 2 Rustaveli St. The hostel is at the very end of the street. Thanks to the Georgian hospitality we were able to find it. The hostel is a great place to stay and the owners will go out of their way to help you out and make sure you have a great time. Highly recommend staying here.
Anyone done the tour ? .
is it worth the money ? .
Kiev to moldova how easy is it to arrange transport , how long is the bus journey ? .
thank you in advance .
Dies anyone know if it is possible to get a taxi from Jermuk directly to Vardenis, or do I have to take the Yeghednazor - Martuni road instead?
Will it be possible to get a taxi from Vardenis to Berd?
Thanks in advance.
I just want to confirm that my perception is correct.
I am planning on taking the Trans-siberian from Vladivostok to St. Petersburg.
I would like to interrupt my trip at Novosibirsk and fly to Tashkent for a week.
My understanding is that, even with a double entry visa, I have 30 days in Russia and that includes any time I spend outside of Russia. So if I enter at Vladivostok, I have to exit the country on May 30, and going to Uzbekistan for a week does not add a week onto my time in Russia.
Is that correct?
Also, if anyone knows, there is no Uzbekistan Embassy in Canada. So what is the best way to get a visa for there? I will cross-post in the Uzbekistan branch....
I'll be travelling to Warsaw in September and I wonder if anyone can reccommend a hotel or B&B somewhere near the Old Town or City Centre. I looked online but thought I'd try this place too. I am looking for a clean room with a private bathroom but not over the top expensive, for about 3-4 nights (no hostels). Always like to see what others reccommend.
Me and some friends are going to Turkey with my parents - we are all 17. We are going to Osuldeniz or Kalkan, still undecided.
We're not going there to get absolutely out of are face but some drinks and partying wouldn't go a miss! I was wondering if anyone knew if we would be able to get into any nightclubs or bars at 17?
I know you're allowed to buy tobacco at 16 for hookahs so they can't be that strict?
Any thing we should Do or See in Turkey, please let me know also!
Thanks a lot guys
I am planning a trip to Istanbul over the New Year for a week and have the option of accommodation on both the European and Asian sides.
Hoping for a great week of photography, gorgeous food and drink and all the usual sights etc.
Don’t mind setting an hour or so per day getting to and from places.
Which would be your preferred choice?
I am planning to walk Omalo-Shatili end of august.
How do I get to Omalo?
Do I have to organise 4WD-transport of is there regular 4WD-transportation?
If I have to organise, where is the best place to do that?
Thanks and cheers.
Hi - am heading to Georgia next month and have various questions.
1. Any good recommendations for village-to-village hikes in Tusheti?
2. If I wanted to travel by land from Tusheti to Svaneti, do I have to go via Tblisi? Or can I go via Telavi? What is the quickest way of doing it, and where are the most interesting places to stop on the way?
3? I am lactose intolerant and worried about all the cheese pies. What are the best alternatives to dairy items?
My boyfriend and I are doing a trip around the Balkans, and we'll be in Sarajevo for his 29th birthday, (beginning of August)... I was wondering if anyone had any advice on something cool to do for his birthday? I've seen that there are thermal baths there that could be nice outside during the summer, but does anyone know of any good excursions outside the city, or maybe even a really cool traditional restaurant to take him to for dinner?
I know it's difficult to suggest things without knowing him obviously, but I'd just like some ideas to plan something nice for him :) So any advice or tips would be really appreciated!
I am flying into Bratislava in early September and flying of of Belgrade 11 days after.
Any recommendations- what I should see, do travel?? I have traveled a lot in the past, but not properly for some time, so I will just go by the Lonely Planet unless there are some great recommendations. I love doing adventurous things and like to eat and drink and like visiting less touristy places some of the time. Happy to stay in hostels however will be travelling with my boyfriend so cheap hotels maybe better - any recommendations?
A bit vague I know but to be honest open to suggestions and just want to enjoy my time there.
Many Thanks ;-)
I want to rent a car in Budva in Montenegro, and then drive to Albania for a week and then return the car in Budva. But I am having difficulty in finding a rental car that one are allowed to cross the border to Albania with.
Has anyone any experience of this and can recommend a car rental firm that allows border crossing into Albania. I am flexible and can pick up the car anywhere in Montenegro or even Dubrovnik.

Hi, apologies if this has been asked a hundred times, but I'm still not clear on a few things:
I'm a UK citizen who wants to visit Belarus as a tourist for around 3 days in August. I will be travelling alone, flying into Vilnius and taking a bus to Minsk.
I obviously need a visa, but do I need anything else such as hotel confirmations, tourist vouchers, letters of invitation from anyone, Insurance etc?
Is this a feasible itinerary? I.e Fly to Vilnius with Visas & documents all sorted beforehand, then turn up & buy a ticket same day to Minsk? I will be returning the same way three days later. Is it just as simple coming back the other way?
Many thanks for your help. I'm looking forward to visiting, but don't want to get turned back as soon as I get to the border!
Does anyone have a recommendation for an all inclusive day tour from Zagreb to Plitvice?
I found some online, but I wonder if they specialize more in Search Engine Optimization than providing tours...
Has anybody been through the new Azerbaijan e-visa process independently?
I am struggling to find information on exactly what is required, for instance, no mention is made of requiring an LOI, however, on the form itself it requests information of the inviting person and their details.
Would it be possible to put the hotel reservation information in that section?
Any experiences appreciated
