Who flies into Liviv airport?
Is it going to be open next May?
Austrian Air does not list that destination on thier website.
I am in Canada and tried them.
I'm going to arrive in Montenegro in about 10 days (so around December 22nd-23rd)...could you tell me which one is the best itinerary ?
I have seen more or less the places in which I'm more interested but because of the weather beaches and montains seems not to be the best option and places like Podgorica seems lacking of cheap hostel (on the Lonely Planet there are only a couple of 90 euro per night hotels!).
Anyway this are the places that I thought about:
-Ulcinj (but seems that the best attraction are the beaches...so not exactly the best place at the end of December...right?
-Buvda (no hostel)
-Podgorica (do you know some cheap hostel/accomodation in Podgorica?)
thanks! more »
I am planning on attending the ANZAC memorial next year at Gallipolli and want to catch a tour which includes this as well as other parts of Turkey, looking at about a 10-15 day trip. As this is something I have wanted to do since I can remember, I want to make sure I go with a quality tour company. I like the look of the On the Go 'ANZAC Cobber' tour, in terms of the places they go, includeing Cappadocia, Antalya, Ephesus and a few other places I'd like to see. Travel Talk have a similar trip. However, I am loathe to go with such a large tour company and I have read some not very flattering reviews about them. Does anyone have any recommendations for good tour company's? Or been on a tour with one of these company's?
I'm about to arrive in Macedonia (Ohrid) and my next stop is Berat in Albania.

Hey all --
I'm a recent college grad visiting Istanbul starting January 1st, and I'm interested in learning more about the opportunities for teaching English there even without an ESL teaching certificate, like myself. If you or anyone you know has any information on such opportunities, I would love to chat. Thanks for reading!
We are on a trip from Holland to South Africa by motorbike. Since the situation in Syria is not improving, we have to think about alternative routes to Egypt. At the moment we consider going to Cyprus and take a boat to Israel ( hopefullly there are any). Does anybody have any experience with travelling from Turkey or Cyprus to either Israel or Egypt?
I'm wondering if anybody has been to Semey or better yet you live in/near proximity to it. I am planning to pass through there in 2013 and I have a couple random questions, particularly regarding the purchase of horses...
Is St Petersburg somewhere you think I would be comfortable traveling as a solo female? It's somewhere I really want to go, though I wonder if I should try harder to find some friends who want to follow or not.
I am arriving in Gaziantep in early January. I am wondering how the current events in Syria are effecting that region. For example I was considering going to Kilis but that is just a few kilometers from the Syrian border. Should I go there now or wait until things are resolved in Syria?
In general, are the events in Syria having an impact in that part of Turkey?
Does anyone know whether the various tourism sights at Ephesus, Cappadocia, and Aphrodisias will be open during the last week in December? Thanks.
Heading out of Istanbul in beginning of June to the Greek islands. What would be a great recommended the first stop as we hop to Athens for 2 weeks ... and the best way to get there?
I originally posted a question about the cost of travel within 5 major Eastern European countries but have been able to narrow it down to a more reasonable 3. I have decided on the Czech Republic ---> Poland ---> last top is Hungary before I fly to London. Let me be a little more descriptive about my itinerary. I land in Prague on March 2nd, to spend perhaps 5 days max. in the city. The other little town I want to see in the CR is Cesky Krumlov for perhaps 2 short days until I take a train into Poland - Krakow. So for the CR I will be spending March 2nd until March 11th (approx). I know from research that Cesky Krumlov is only a short day trip from Prague so most of my time will be dedicated to the big city. I have no issues taking uncomfortable overnight trains to Krakow where I will spend my next week March 12th to 18th where I take another long overnight (hopefully cheap) train int... more »
Hello wise travelers,
A little background to my question: a friend and I are looking to travel to Morocco - Spain - Turkey - Eastern Europe and then across Asia from March next year; traveling for about a year. Very loose travel plan is: Morocco until the end of April, Spain for a month in May, Turkey in June, then travel north towards Poland, or to reverse and after Spain go to Poland and travel down to Turkey, but we are flexible. Would then like to travel across the trans-siberian line towards Asia, around August/September.
We want to keep our plans as flexible as realistically possible. But looking at visas for Ukraine and Russia, and realising we may have book more than anticipated. So I have a couple of hopeful questions:
I have been reading the about visa requirements on the Ukraine Embassy's website- which states that I need to attach 'a document proving the tourist ... more »
A friend has given me a few thousand macedonian Denars to spend on my upcoming trip. However, my plans have changed, and I wont have time to go to Macedonia, just going from Bulgaria to Serbia directly.
My question is, does anyone know if the banks or Bureau de change will accept macedonian denars in either Bulgaria or Serbia? Since they are worth about 125 euro, I might have to spend a few hours in Skopje to change them back to Euro.
