Wroclaw to Prague or Krakow to Prague?
Hello,
I am hoping for some advice about travelingl to Prague from Wroclaw using bus or train. I have found some information about bus routes on this site www.polskibus.com/en. As far as I can tell there are two buses a day. I can't work out the train timetable at all.
Our Polish itinery has us finishing our trip in Wroclaw however we can re-arrange our visit to leave from Krakow if that is a better option. Wroclaw looks closer on the map, however we have never travelled in Europe before so have little idea. We would prefer not to fly, however if those of you who are familiar with the area suggest it is the option we could change our plans.
Also, is it possible to go to Wroclaw directly from Zakopane?
thank you,
Susan

Is it an easy walk from Morskie Oko to Czarny Staw? (Zakopane Tatra Mt)
Hi all,
Have several questions about Morskie Oko and Czarny Staw.
1. How long it takes from Lysa Palana to Morskie Oko? It is said 9km on the website, but is it an uphill hiking? Is it an easy walk? If I take horse-drawn carriage up and walk back, how long it takes?
2. How about hiking from Morskie Oko to Czarny Staw? Is it only for experienced hiker or also acess to unexperienced hiker?
3. If we don't up to Czarny Staw only go to Morskie Oko, can we finish in half day, then have another half day to Mt Kasprowy Wierch? Will take cable way both way, just like to see the sumit.
I will be there at early October. It is usally sunny and dry that time right?
All suggestions will be appreciated!
Cheers,
Alexis

Why is this timetable like this?
Hi,
I'm just curious about this timetable for direct day bus from Krakow to Prague. The times are going back and started again.
Do you have any idea?
Also, i may choose the train but it's twice more expensive than bus and includes 2 changes, i know that there is a promotion ticket for trains. But how can i buy them online? www.polrail.com didn't show me that tickets.
I got used to use the buses actually, i don't think that it will be a problem for me. But mostly people suggest trains, why is that? How is buses like? Are they comfortable, do they have air conditions?
Thank you!

Where Will I Be Able to Use Credit Cards Instead of Cash?
I believe I'll be able to use a credit card on the Polish rail system for tickets and for passes. I stay and eat cheaply, so I'm guessing I'll have to pay in cash for most meals and rooms. Am I correct in those two assumptions?
How about museum entrance fees, city cards that give discounts for museums and local transport, inter-city buses if there are no train connections, river boat sightseeing trips (just local, a couple of hours)? Who takes credit cards?

WARSAW TO LODZ; LODZ TO LUBLIN; & LEAVING LUGGAGE IN WARSAW
I will be in Poland in late September and early October of this year for two weeks. I have just decided to add Lodz and Lublin to my original itinerary of Krakow and Warsaw.
I would like to take the train from Warsaw to Lodz and a couple days later from Lodz to Lublin. I would very much appreciate any suggestions on the fastest train routing between Warsaw and Lodz, as well as between Lodz and Lublin.
Also, can one store a piece of luggage at the Warsaw train station for a few days? If so, where? At the Warsaw airport?
Thanks for any assistance you may be able to provide.

From Krakow to Prague by bus
Hi,
In July, i'm coming to Krakow and will stay there 2 days. (One for the city, one for Auschwitz).
I will take the day bus to Prague. I found a company named Intercars, the web doesn't include English, but i can find how can i book online.
Do you know is it safe to book online? Or do you think i need to book online? In July, can i find the bus ticket when i arrive the Krakow? (I mean before 2 days from departure?)
Any other company suggestions?
Thank you!

Overnight Train Warsaw to Lviv - Does this exist / how to book?
Hi,
Looking on bahn.de it appears there is an overnight train from Warsaw to Lviv at 17.00 each day, arriving 06.03, however fares are not available on this site, looking at polrail I see that there is an overnight train from Krakow to Lviv each day leaving at 20.30, arriving 06.03 however it does not show an overnight train from Warsaw to Lviv, however they arrive at the same time.
Therefore does this mean:
1) There is a train from Warsaw to Lviv at 17.00 each day, that goes via Krakow that can't be booked via polrail but it does exist?
2) There is no overnight train between Warsaw and Lviv, and the bahn.de site is incorrect?
Any help in solving this mystery would be appreciated!

Train reservation Krakow-Praha (via website)
Hi, fellow TTers
On the same line of a thread of the last days, I would need a website were I could make a reservation for a Krakow-Prague.
Yes, many people say that no problem in securing the ticket on Krakow three days before, but me and my girlfriend would feel more assured if we could start the travel with those tickets bought.
I have found this website, but it looks like is czech only... http://jizdnirady.idnes.cz/
All the help and hints will be welcome
Thanks in advance

WARSAW & KRAKOW
After being in and around Prague for two and a half weeks, I will be spending two weeks in Poland - Warsaw and Krakow to be precise including day trips from each.
A very basic question first: how many days would you suggest that I plan to spend in each of the two cities? This will be my first visit to each and I don't know if I should allot more time to one city than the other.
And with regard to Warsaw and Krakow, what are some of the day trips you would suggest, including any that are really worth seeing, but may not be featured in travel guides?
Any help you may be able to provide, I would greatly appreciate.
Thank you!

Frederic Chopin Airport - Warsaw
I have a 10 hour stop over on a Saturday in June at Frederic Chopin Airport and I want to take bus 175 into Warsaw to see a little of the city. What kind of bus pass do I purchase because I have read there are several different types? Also, do I just purchase it inside the airport? Does anyone else have any other tips regarding taking bus 175 into Warsaw? Should this be fairly easy to do with this amount of time?
Thanks in advance.

Best Travel Guide?
Hi. My wife and I are planning a trip to Poland in 2014 and we're looking for a good guide book. I've heard mixed reviews. What to you all recommend? We think we'll be flying into Krakow at this point and staying there but I really want to go to Zakopane and also doing day trips. It's all fluid right now which is why we need some good guide books :)
Thanks for your help.

Booking Krakow-Prague overnight train in advance?
Me and my family are going to Krakow, Zakopane and Prague for our summerholiday this year. We are planning on taking the overnight train from Krakow to Prague, but I was wondering how far in advance you will have to book considering we are travelling in july.
Should we book from home and how do you do that or is it fine waiting till we arrives in krakow where we will have 4 days +3 days in Zakopane before we travel to Prague?
Thanks in advance for your answers.
Pia

Train from Chopin airport to Krakow
I will be arriving at the airport in Warsaw, on a Saturday, at 1 pm, and I would like to travel straight to Krakow.
I tried to get the information from the web site, but I couldn't get an English translation, so I am not sure if my interpretation is correct.
Apparently I can take a train from the airport to the train station in Warsaw, and then transfer to a train for Krakow.
My questions are:
Is that a correct interpretation?
Is this the same train, or to I have to switch trains?
Can I buy a ticket for the entire trip at the airport, or do I have to buy a separate one once I get to Warsaw?
Is the transfer, in Warsaw, straightforward, or are there complications?
Thank you
RG

Tips for nice stop along route Warsaw - Rzeszow
Hi all,
Halfway may I will be travelling from Warsaw in the direction of Rzeszow. The trip (by bus? or train? have yet to decide) lasts about 5hrs and I will be more than happy to make a stop and do a little sightseeing (I have a flexible schedule, I could even stay the night). Since by then I have experienced the urban life in Warsaw, I think I might be interested to see some villages or just beautiful serene views of nature:)
I've been reading about Kazimiers Dolny, is that an option or perhaps too touristy?
Do you have any recommendations?
Looking forward to it!
Regards, Julie
