Dabovo Train Station
Dabovo Train Station
I have a train connection at Dabovo Train Station of 16 minutes and might miss it and have to catch the next train 3 hours later. Does anyone know that Train Station. Is there a restaurant nearby to spend some of the waiting time? I there a left luggage to go to town? Thank you.

Which beach resort?
My boyfriend and I are interailing through Eastern Europe and fancy visiting the Black Sea coast while we're in Bulgaria to get a bit of beach time in but don't know which resort to go for. We're travelling by train from Istanbul, are considering stopping in Plovdiv as well, and will be continuing to Serbia. Can anyone recommend somewhere that is easy to get to by train or bus from Istanbul/Plovdiv and has a nice beach (and preferably a nice hostel)?
Thanks :)

Best Way To Find a 2 Bedroom Apartment in central Sofia for 3 months?
My friend and I want to rent an apartment in central Sofia for 3 months. The apartment must have 2 separate bedrooms. I have tried airbnb.com but the places look overpriced. Any suggestions where I can find apartments for rent in central Sofia?

Is anybody going to the Paneurhythmy celebration of the White Brotherhood in Rila mountains in August?
It's meant to be an amazing experience.

Blagoevgrad – Getting to Rila Monastery – Blagoevgrad to Skopje via Kyusten
I am cross-posting this information on the Macedonia thread, though I realise only the final paragraph of this post relates to that country.
Recently I was in Plovdiv, and wanted to visit Rila Monastery by public transport without first going to Sofia. I wondered whether it was feasible to visit the monastery based in Blagoevgrad, and then travel on to Skopje without going through Sofia. As I found little information on these questions, and some of what I did find turned out to be incorrect now, I thought I’d write a few comments which might help possible future travellers.
First, I really liked Blagoevgrad. Wikitravel has some reasonable information on the city, but it is not covered in the LP Eastern Europe guide. There are two bus stations located very close to the train station. The bus station at which I arrived from Plovdiv, was also the one from which I took buses to...

Roadtrip from Varna to Kavala, Greece
We're planning a 14-day roadtrip starting from Sofia. The front end of the trip will start from Sofia, then to Plovdiv, then north to Bucharest, then back south into Varna. From Varna we want to make our way to Greece. Since we have to return the car back to Sofia and fly out from there, we don't want to stray to far into Greece. Kavala seems to be a good seaside spot for the last leg of our trip.
1) We will probably spend a whole day driving from Varna to Kavala. We want to get to Greece as quickly as possible, but we don't want to rush through and miss out out on sights along the way. Are there any sights or cities between these 2 places that we should check out? Burgas? Alexandroupoli?Would it be more or less convenient to cut through Edirne, Turkey? (We've already budgeted a day to visit Nessebar.)
2) Do you reckon Kavala is a good spot to visit? Do you have alternative sug...

Koprivshtitsa to Veliko Turnovo
I need to get from Koprivshtitsa to Veliko Turnovo. I checked on Train, but the connection in Tulovo is only 15 min.
Are there buses from Koprivshtitsa to Tulovo or from Tulovo to Veliko Turnovo? Is there a direct bus from
Koprivshtitsa to Veliko Turnovo? I am travelling with children, so train would be the better option.
Thank you for your help.

Independent Hikers Late July / Early August
Hey Guys!
Just wondering if there were any ´dirt bag´ hikers keen to avoid the package tour and do some independent hiking in the Mountains?
Around 20.7.13, flexible.
Cheers!

Varna to Ruse
Hello
We are spending a week in Varna, going out next week, and would like to visit Ruse while we are there. This is a very last minute decision, I have had a look at the timetable and the trip takes about 4 hours.
Has ayone done this trip or have any experience of Bulgarian buses? Would it be better to hire a car? We have never visited Bulgaria before so would be very grateful for any advice.

Campsites with cabins in Bulgaria (& Romania) - Recommendations!
Hello,
I'm visiting Bulgaria and Romania in late June / early July. My trip (roughly) will be to visit the Carpathians around Brasov / Sinaia region. Then I will be going south to Bulgaria to the mountains in the central / SE part of the country.
Nothing booked, just going to follow my interests when I'm out there. I will be doing day hikes, but nothing too serious.
I'm keen (if possible) to stay in cabins in campsites rather than in hotels or guesthouses.
However, I can't seem to find any listings for campsites with cabins to hire for a few days at a time on the internet.
I was wondering if you guys could recommend any? The cabins can be very basic, as long as they have bedding.
Also, any mountains towns / village you'd recommend as a base for day hikes in the aforementioned regions?
I was thinking (roughly):
Sinaia (Romania)
Troyan (Bulgaria)
Chepela...

Bulgaria for New Year's Eve??
Hi, a group of us will be skiing in Bansko the Christmas week and were wondering if we should hang around for New Year's Eve. I'm thinking we could happily spend a few days each in Plovdiv and Sofia. Any thoughts on which would be best (i.e., lively but not too manic!) for New Year's Eve, or isn't it really celebrated in Bulgaria?
Any thoughts or suggestions welcome!
Thanks,
VL
