The Goal of Sponsorship!

Howdy Yall! My name is Barry! I've been in the magical land of AUS for quite some time now. And with that time I made some friends in the workplace and now we are practically family. Since I would like to work for my current employer for longer than the six month "ONE Employer" limit on my working holiday visa allows, I will be needing sponsorship in 6 months. The only reason I'm posting this is cause navigating through the Immigration website is like navigating through downtown Sydney in rush hour... Freakin' Frustrating! What are some things that I, as the worker need to do and fill out in order to get sponsor ready. And since I'm on the topic say I was the employer as well. What do I need to do in order to sponsor a worker? I'll probably have all the papers out and ready for my employer instead of putting him the hassle of all this stuff. Whats the cost of the sponsorship? Links ar... more »

Nice vineyard for wedding engagement shoot near Melbourne?

Any recommendations? It'd be great if the vineyard offers little or no fees to use their premise for personal photography shoot.

Thanks!

Brisbane to Cairns HELP PLEASE :)

Hey everyone!!

I'm landing in Brisbane Sep 26th early in the morning.. and I'm trying to make my way to Cairns asap to do some diving!! (Also I need a way back to Brisbane by October 3rd) I didn't realize how expensive flights would be from Brisbane to Cairns and really can't afford 300 round flight!!

I've posted on gumtree, couchsurfing, and looked up buses and trains (the buses and trains seemed the same if not more $$)

If anyone has any suggestions please help!!

Cheers!

Rideshare Brisbane to Sydney/Canberra/Thredbo/Perisher

I have double'd this post on the travel companion branch so I apologise if that's naughty!

I am driving south from Brisbane leaving Saturday 11th August. I am able to pick up/drop off anywhere en-route which can be either the Pacific Highway route or the inland route. If Pacific (Coastal) route then this includes Byron/Coffs/Newcastle/Sydney/Canberra/Jindabyne and the inland is Toowoomba/Goondiwindi/Moree/Parkes/Canberra etc..

If anyone would like to share the ride (and fuel costs!) drop me a line as a reply or PM. I have a 4x4 with roof rack so plenty of space for luggage if necessary.

I'll be returning a week later too.....

Hotel/Hostel for NYE in Sydney

Hi there,

My friend and I have just decided to book flights to Sydney for New Year... we didn't think about the fact that every hotel and hostel seems to be booked up.

Does anyone know of anywhere that maybe don't advertise on the internet? Or any suggestions for places we've not thought to look?

Ideally we want to be as close to the centre as possible. We are happy to stay in hostels but we'd like a private room.

Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Shelly

Deported from UK; Want to apply for Australia Skilled Migration Visa

Hi there,

I had got a work visa for UK and I was refused entry (eventually deported from UK) into UK in April 2012 due to non-payment of my self employed tax when I came back to New Zealand where I went on tourist visa. The letter given me by UK Border Agency pointed out that Immigraion Officer is satisfied that this is either misrepresentation or change of circumstances not informed to UK Border Agency or material facts not disclosed to UKBA. I haven't applied against their decision to UKBA. Recently I got a job in New Zealand and applied for work visa but my visa was declined on character grounds (Refused entry into UK). I got re-entry ban into UK for one year effective from April 2012 (From April 2012 to April 2013). Except this, I never have any civil offence or crimial offence anywhere in the world. I completed my BSc and MSc degrees.

I want to apply for Australian skilled... more »

My chance to make a million!!

An email arrives today........

I am a member of the Libya's National Transitional Council (NTC) Myself and few members of the council has discovered some funds which late Gaddafi deposited with different financial institutions in Europe, Asia and Africa. We need a capable hand that can handle the transferring of these funds to a safe bank. The funds transfer shall be done bit by bit till we successfully move all the funds.

We will discuss about the sharing formula and location of the funds when we are convinced you can do business with us confidentially.

Contact me stating your full contact details and address..

Awaiting your response.

Trip to Australia Mid November - Mid December

Hello Everyone!
I am planning a trip to Australia and have been trying to create my own itinerary. Tentative plan is Sydney, Blue mountains and Jenolan caves, Canberra, then on to Brisbane, Hamilton Island (Whitsunday sailing), Cairns (Diving), Then fly to Alice Springs - check out Uluru, then on to Adelaide, GOR then Melbourne. This is to be done over a 5 week period (about 32 days). Budget is 3000 - 4000 AUD - I will be backpacking. I do not intend hiring a car. I will either fly or use rail/bus/

My questions are:
1 - I have not put the number of days per area because I need advice on this - does anyone have any?
2 - Which greyhound pass is the best for this trip, a mini pass or kilometre pass or any other? Is it better to use the rail pass (unlimited) than the greyhound pass?
3 - Is this itinerary feasible or a long-shot. Any suggestions?
4 - I have read about sharing tra... more »
