Cheap accommodation in Sydney and Brisbane?
Can anyone tell me an affordable way of staying in Sydney and Brisbane for about two weeks? I'm planning to visit Australia this summer and now collecting information about accommodation. Thank you!

Work Holiday in Australia
Hi Everyone,
I'd like to prelude my post with stating the fact that I'm not just some average young person who simply wants to travel for a year. I'm looking for a new start with new opportunity. Basically, my last chance at not being a failure. Please at least read my entire story before you make a judgement. That's all I ask.
I've received an opportunity to live and work in Australia for a year through the work holiday visa scheme. I'm trying to raise funds to be able to do it. Can people please take a look at my "go fund me" page? Please read my story. Even if you can't donate yourself. If you could share the link and help me raise the funds I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks so much,
Rae

camping
Hi,
My mom and I are planning a road trip from Sydney to Cairns over the month of June. We have rented a campervan, and I'm a little concerned with how cold it will be hanging out at night - do campgrounds along the east coast usually provide firewood?
How much will I need!
Hi All! I'm hoping after backpacking Southeast Asia to the backpack through Australia and New Zealand for three months in September next year ... I want to go diving on the Great Barrier Reef and go cage diving with sharks etc ... The only problem is I will only have about £2500 left after Southeast Asia! Can it be done ? I don't mind doing fruit picking or call centre work or whatever for extra cash .... What's the minimum I could take for three months ? Ay help would be awesome!

Working in Australia after 31
Hi! I'm turning 31 in a couple weeks and I know it's a lot harder to obtain a work visa after doing so. Does anyone have any advice on what options I have in order to stay out there. I'm thinking of staying for 2-3 months at least and kind of taking it from there. My background is gemology so I was thinking of possibly working for the Lightning Ridge or Argyle Mines, but I'm also open to other fields of work.
Thanks!

Fruit Picking 2yr WHV - South Aus or Victoria?!
Heyyy guys!
I have been reading a lot of posts about the requirements for the 2nd year WHV... I have just been granted my first one and intend to travel to Aus in Feb 2014- i know it is a long way off but i need to book flights so i get them as cheap as possible!
I am currently therefore looking at where to fly into, i am going to do my regional work to obtain the 2nd yr whv straight away so that I can relax and not have to stress about it later in the year- plus i figured it would be a great way to see parts of aus that i might not have done otherwise- i.e victoria, South Australia or Western Australia- which is where i'm thinking of doing my regional work- fruit picking etc...
I have family in Melbourne so was hoping to base myself there, but having looked through the downloadable doc from the Harvest Trail website and looking at the eligible postcodes i'm not sure its goi...

Need help=Waitomo caves to Hamilton airport
I’m working on a New Zealand itinerary and I can’t seem to find an inexpensive way to get from Waitomo Caves to Hamilton airport. The wrinkle is that I’m interested in something leaving Waitomo in the morning. Naked Bus runs a service to Hamilton, but it doesn’t depart Waitomo until 1730 hours. Anyone out there have any suggestions on how to get from Waitomo to Hamilton airport departing at around 0800 or 0900 hours without spending a fortune? Many thanks!

Carshare Brisbane Ocean
Hi everyone!
I'm searching for someone kindly sharing his/her car for a (return) lift from Brisbane to any surf spot during the week-ends :) . If you are a surfer, I'd be glad to share you surf sessions too (5 years of surf for me). :)
The lift would be during the day (I can wake up early if needed), the deal is that we share the gas cost so everyone wins!
Thanks, see you!
Martin (23 yo french easygoing guy :) )

Melbourne to Sydney in 2 weeks, advice please
Hiya!
Myself and my boyfriend are arriving in melbourne on the 3rd June from singapore and have got 2 weeks to travel up to Sydney. We were going to hire a campervan to do it so we could travel along the coast but there seems to be loads of extra costs involved which has put us off a bit. We want to make the most of our time but are worried the greyhound or trains will miss out a lot of places on the way. We are looking for any advice on a cheap but good way to travel up any help would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Architects in Australia
Hi,
I'm planing to migrate in Australia. I'm taking course for IELTS tests at the moment, and researching the way for legalize my diploma ( master degree). I'm from Macedonia but I finish my education in Bulgaria. I'm an architect working in Bulgaria with more than 6 year work experience. When I'll take my IELTS ( with the rating I need) and legalize my diploma I should find a job, get a job and after that I can apply for visa. I'll be very grateful if someone is going to give me any kind of information how to find a job as an architect. Thanks in advance!!!
Your sincerely,
Snezhana

restaurant Auckland CBD
We're overnighting in central Auckland prior to flying out. I'm going mad trawling through the likes of Tripadvisor, Menumania and Dineout trying to find somewhere for dinner.
Does anyone have any favourites they could recommend? I like Prego, but as they don't accept bookings, would prefer somewhere we could book. Budget not an issue
Thanks in advance.

walking fraser island
Hi,
I am planning my trip to australia (august) and want to go to Fraser Island, I am travelling alone and preferd to walk the island instead of a 4wd tour.
I have seen a recommendation of a walking tour with footprintsonfraser, I haven´t been able to contact them or open there web page, has any one done it? any other company I can arrange this type of trip?
Also would need to decide between whitsunday or kepple island, I am budget so need advise. Also like to see kakadu so if you have any recommendation it would be great.
Thanks!
Hawkesbury River cruiser hire.
I'd like to hire a cruiser on the Hawkesbury River for a 5 day midweek hire in mid July this year - two people. It's something that I used to do quite regularly once, but things have changed; the charterer I once used (Halvorsens) no longer seems to be in existence and the very nature of the boats seems to have changed.
I don't need a "flybridge" stinkboat - I'd love a Halvorsen 26 or 30, but suspect that they no longer exist, I'd consider a "houseboat", but know very little about them (I'd want something capable of around 8 knots) and would greatly appreciate advice from people with personal or shared experience from the last couple of years.
And yes, I do know about google but would nonetheless appreciate internet links that might be useful, as there are almost certainly good ones that I have missed.
Nautically yours ........

Suggestions for a 7 days South Island roadtrip during August 2013
Road trip in early August 2013. We love scenery and looking at a good photography opportunity during this trip. Would love to squeeze some time for bungy/tandem skydive/jetboating
Will be arriving at midnight and checking in a nearby motel till morning for collection of car.
Day 1 - arrive at CHC, depart to Fox Glacier through Arthur's Pass in the morning (1 night)
The drive might be a little tricky during winter season? No experience in driving on snow/ice. Googled and it says it will take about 5hrs for a 400km drive. Anyone has experience on this? This is my most worrying part.
Day 2 - Fox Glacier half day walk (read good reviews on it)
Depart for Wanaka - puzzling world
Depart for Queenstown after or should I stay at Wanaka for a night?
Day 3 - Queenstown (bungy?skydive?jetboat? we saw a combo deal at combos.co.nz !)
Day 4 - Milford Sound? Te Anau?
Day 5 -...

Adelaide to Alice in 4 days
There are 6 of us doing a road trip from Adelaide to Alice in a total of 4 days. Does anyone have any worth seing sights on the way up to Alice, bearing in mind we are on a tight schedule?
We are planning on driving as much as possible so we can spend one evening at Uluru and watch the sunset and sun rise there, as well as going to Kings Canyon.
Any tips will be greatly appreciated :)
