Backpacking Europe in August from India

I want to backpack across Europe starting from starting from Spain and ending in Italy (flexible), for about 16-20 days starting from 5th-10th August 2013. I want to mainly see and explore the big city cultural and historic Europe and less of the natural beauty and sights. My probable itinerary is Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Krakow, Auschwitz, Prague, Vienna, Venice, Florence, Rome overland through trains and buses and it is not a fixed itinerary. My spend would be budget. My interests are literature, art, history, writing, cultures, travel...I'm 28, m, from Bangalore,India. Looking for companions or a group of up to 4 people, preferably from India, and not strictly. Do get in touch at sachinatlaw@gmail.com. Cheers and thanks.

Looking for female companion on European trip!

I've always wanted to backpack through Europe and figure this is a good time. I'm female in her mid-30s, but people always ask if I'm still in college so I guess I look really young. Looking for, preferably, a female companion who's likes being active. We don't have to spend all our time together. In fact, it's better if we have some space. But it'd be nice to have a travel companion as we navigate through foreign cites, stay at hostels, navigate the train systems. I'm flexible as to dates and locations. Thinking maybe 2 or 3 months, starting July or August. Would at least like to hit London and Paris. I'd like to do a lot of urban hiking and exploring. Staying at hostels or couchsurfing or maybe even some camping. Feel free to send me messages. Thanks!

Honda Bonus 125cc for sale in Hanoi

We are selling our 125cc Honda Bonus along with touring gear (Helmet, Map, Tools, Back Rack and Straps) for US $400. Bike is in greatcondition and has been fantastic for touring Vietnam. We invested in new stronger shock absorbers, gasket and lights. Engine and gearbox also were checked by a proper mechanic. This bike is perfect for two or a bigger person. We were glad for the bigger more comfortable bike along the road as one spends a long time in the saddle! This type of bike is used widely by Easy Riders and is a hell of a lot of fun to drive.

Contact us by email (ph_ra@hotmail.com) or on mobile +841887463931.

Tibet Expedition (Chengdu-Lhasa)

We are starting a Tibet expedition on May 31st to June 16 from Chengdu to Lhasa. For this expedition we are looking for other open minded people to join. The expedition will be a motorbike expedition, but we also take people as co-drivers in our Toyota Land Cruiser, so you can either get a motorbike for yourself or chose the car. At least half of the nights we spent in tents and camps in the countryside. We carry a large earthquake tent for cooking and sitting together and an electricity generator. During the expedition we cross almost all provinces where Tibetans live (Sichuan, Gansu, Qinghai, Tibet) and try to be as far away from the beaten trek as possible. Call Hendrik if you are interested: 15184999452.

1 month adventure

Hi everyone.
I currently have managed to get 6 weeks off work From June 9 to July 21. I was planning on taking a motorcycle trip across Europe to turkey and back again. However I've been reading some great stories of other trips and have been thinking of changing my plans. If there is anyone out there who is interested in a campervan/car/motorbike/hitchhiking trip across Australia for a month between those dates. Or anyone interested in backpacking/motorbiking Thailand then I'd love to hear from you. Thanks for reading.

Motorbike for sale in Siem Reap, Vietnamese Honda win 100 cc

Hi. I'm selling a vietnamese Honda win 100cc. I bought it in Hanoi for 300$, and it took me all the way to Siem Reap in about two months. It has both electric and kickstart, both working. The only thing that needs fixing is the backlight, which I reckon shouldn't cost more than 5$.

It comes with a helmet, bag-rack, luggage straps (i've been carrying a 50 liter back pack+daypack on there, no problem), registration license. So I know for sure that you can take it back to Vietnam, and from what I've read you can also ride it in Thailand and Lao.

I'm selling it because I'm going to Burma/Myanmar, where they are not that fond of overland travel:)

You can reach me on vi.krusell@gmail.com or 098428113. I'm staying at garden village till at least Monday. I'm open for bids.

Cheers Victor

Shangri La to Chengdu via Dege

Just posted on the Northeast Asia branch:

Hi,

I'm about to leave Zhongdian / Shangri La for a beautiful route to Chengdu. I hated to find out that my main goal Yading NP is closed though... As there have been problems with roads, buses, travel restrictions, etc, does anyone have an update about the following 14 day plan?

Shangri La - Xiangcheng - Litang - Ganzi - Dege - Ganzi - Danba - Chengdu

If travelling from Litang to Ganzi is not possible, is there any public transport between Batang and Dege?

Thanks very much for your reactions!

BTW: If anyone wants to join...

Moz or not Moz

Hi everyone,
I have planned to fly to JHB on june 23 and shall stay in Southern Africa 4 weeks. I know pretty well that part of the world since I leaved there as a kid. I wish to discover Mozambique this time.
I have to be in Maputo on July 5-9 for the arrival of the Put Foot Rally (one of my school friend's participating). Otherwise, my programme is quite open still.
anyone in that region at that time? Willing to share an african path?
looking forward in reading you

cheers
