Lonely Planet review
An opulent 1652 mansion (built by the guy who did the palace on the Dam in Amsterdam) is now an appealing hotel. The nine rooms vary widely in size and view but all have period decor that's been tricked out with modern conveniences – such as luxurious bathrooms as opposed to pots. It overlooks a canal and small park.
Our independent authors have visited Hotel aan de Dam and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Middelburg.
