I'll be travelling to the Netherlands from the 10th to the 13th of October, and though I have been doing some research in this and other forums and I've been able to sketch a tour, I would like to check it with you and would very much appreciate any input you could give me.
I'm visiting my brother, who is currently living in The Hague as a student, not much money or free time, and I want to take him on a short road trip. As I'll be getting to The Hague by car at 12pm the latest…
I am flying into Holland and doing a somewhat circle with a few cross overs. I'm going to see football matches and family in a 36-48hr period not as a tourist.
I am flying into Eindhoven then going straight to Arnhem, then to Rotterdam on the Saturday. On the Sunday I am going from Rotterdam to Utrecht then back to Eindhoven to fly out the next morning.

Hey everyone. 21 year old college student from NY looking to study for a semester in the Netherlands. Basically I have 2 choices of cities: Groningen and Rotterdam. Assuming the academic program is about equal, which city would you recommend to me? Would like to have a fairly active social life with a good bar scene, study friendly, some cultural stuff. Are one of these cities less expensive then the other? Any major differences that could influence my decision? Not sure what other factors would…
I'm flying back from Morocco to the US in March, and I have a choice of spending my layover of 18 hours (overnight, from about 5pm to 11am) in either Brussels or Amsterdam. I'd like to get out & explore as much as I can during that time. Any thoughts as to which location would be better?
We're going to Amsterdam in a month, and we thought we'd take the train to Antwerp from there. The Thalys one is twice as expensive as the others, so we thought we'd take the inter-city, and change in Roosedaal. Problem is we only have 2 minutes between the arrival time of our train from Amsterdam and the departure time of the train to Antwerp...has anyone ever taken the train? How feasible is it?
Hello Thorn Tree!
I'm currently living in Amsterdam and a few friends of mine and I are looking to take a long weekend trip to Belgium and wanted some advice. We were thinking Brugge, Brussels, and time permitting, Antwerpen. We are students and wanting to go places with interesting and fun things to see and do as well as a good nightlife. Trying to decide how much time to spend at each place, so any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
My girlfriend would love to go for the tulip festival in Lisse in early May for her birthday, so we are beginning to plan a trip. We would like to go to Amsterdam, the Hague, Rotterdam, and of course, Lisse. My initial thought was perhaps doing about 6 nights, with 2 nights in Amsterdam, 2 nights in Lisse, and 2 nights somewhere in the Hague/Delft/Rotterdam area. And I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this?
I'll start off by saying that I do think a couple days outside of a big city,…
