Hello everyone! I'm hoping to get some itinerary info. We are heading to Holland in late April for 2 weeks. We need to be have a few days in Amsterdam for Remembrance Day. Other than that, AMS is expensive so we'd like to rent two places in the countryside on either side of Remembrance Day that will allow us to see as much as possible. So..... Arrive April 27th and have a week somewhere, then 4 days in AMS then 6days somewhere else. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Is there a central…
Just hoping to get some info about what will be open on Christmas Day and Boxing Day in Amsterdam...?
Anyone know if the museums will be open...?
And how about restaurants and bars...?
Can I buy alcohol from shops during the public holidays...??
Thanks in advance.
Back to the Netherlands, this time less a bike and headed to Germany. What can a local tell me about buying a bike at a shop in Amsterdam and arranging for them to buy it back at the end of our tour. Particular shops would be most helpful. Danke.
We are plannning to be in Amsterdam for Christmas this year. We are just wondering if anything will be open? Clearly the hotel will feed us but it would be nice to do something a little bit more authentic. What is a traditional Dutch Christmas? Thanks so much in advance
I've never been to Europe before and my husband and I have been trying to create our perfect vacation for March 2018. We are looking at London & Amsterdam. We would be in amsterdam for 4-1/2 days. Do you think 1300eur (Sorry, my computer doesn't have a euro symbol) would be enough? Lodging + transport would already be paid for, this would be strictly for food, attractions, etc.
My girlfriend and I are moving to Amsterdam soon and we're both UK citizens. Neither of us have any kind of driving licenses. We were wondering if it would be possible to learn to drive and pass a driving test over in the Netherlands.
(Would we need to be a permanent resident? What kind of license would we earn? etc. etc. etc.)
I'm looking for suggestions for my first night(s) in The Netherlands in the spring of next year (yes, I'm getting well organised)
The Netherlands will be my starting country for months of Cycle Touring on the Continent. I'll have my bike / panniers and all associated gear with me on arrival in country.
I'll be arriving into Schiphol around 7.30am on either a Monday or Tuesday. Will assemble my bike somewhere in the Airport or carpark, load up and then head off.
I'm looking for a…
Hi guys. Me and my girlfriend are planning on spending one week at the start of March exploring the Benelux region of Europe (mostly because the Inter-rail pass includes all 3 countries in its remit, but also because we really want to see a few places in the Netherlands and in Belgium, with Luxembourg an added bonus). However, we just keep finding new things we want to do across the cities we have pencilled in (some could be cut from the final draft, don't want to spend every day on a train aha)…
Now from what I gather they have a camping next to the swimming pool and one about a kilometer away from there, can someone here explain the difference? and help me choose? I guess they are by no means similar...
