This brasserie has the best location in town, in the midsection of the Euromast tower. At 100m it almost doesn't matter about the food, with that kind of view and a design to maximise it (the angled windows impart the odd sensation of eating in mid-air). It's a bonus, then, that the menu is up to scratch: fillet of suckling pig and grilled mackerel were recent offerings.

    What a waste...

    hik does not recommend this,

    Undoubtely the greatest location in Rotterdam, espcially if you're a local bringing foreign friends. The Euromast is a Rotterdam institution (albeit from the 50ties) and it was refurbushed completely by famous Dutch decorator Jan des Bouvrie some time ago. So what could possibly go wrong?
    Well: a lot, as it turned out. The fish was cold and then late in a second attempt. The lamb was tough. The waiters confused and uninformed, having immense trouble keeping up with drinks and even just clearing the table. Management was nowhere to be seen. What remained was the fantastic view from the tower and the company of friends.
    My suggestion? Take your friends up the tower by daylight, then go down and have a meal somewhere else. Plenty of lovely spots in the city of Rotterdam!
