Lonely Planet review for Wagamama
The long rows of rectangular tables, laid out cafeteria-style, are often filled with hipsters fortifying themselves for bike trips or nights on the town. Staples include chicken ramen, Japanese curries and fried noodles or rice.

You know what your getting...
abpijp81 recommends this,
Visiting Wagamama's while your in Holland is hardly pushing the boat out and experiencing something new. But if you're craving good value basic Japanese then you could do a lot worse than Wagamama's.
Despite the fact that you can find a Waga's in most major towns in the UK, you never know when your cravings for yummy noodles or gorgeously crispy chicken katsu curry are going to get the better of you. And if you're reading this and you aren't from somewhere that has it's own Wagamamas then sure - give this one a try.
Sit on long wooden tables, with a host of other customers (great if your travelling alone) and order from their never-changing menu of delicous Japanese noodles, soup and curry dishes. Portions are generous and the food comes out when it's cooked so you shouldn't wait for the rest of your party to get theirs before chowing down. It's good comfort food - tasty and copious.
The location is pretty good - right on bustling Leidseplein, with the modern commercial center of shops, casino's and more restaurant and bars lining the canals edge at the back. A good place to start an evening.
All in all, Wagamama's is good value for money, the service is the same wherever you go, and it's good for vegetarians. I'm told the Wagamama's chefs can also turn any vege dish vegan, if asked but I haven't tried that...
If you've never tried Waga's then go. But if you really want to eat from a chain while your in the Netherlands then I'd suggest you try Dutch chain food - get yourself to the nearest Febo or Schmollers.
