It’s easy to see why locals clamour for simple, classy Toscanini: it bakes its own bread, rolls its own pasta and pours a lengthy list of Italian wines. The ever-changing dishes that hit the white tablecloths might include ricotta-and-walnut-plumped ravioli, rabbit-and-white-wine-sauced tagliatelle or veal sweetbreads.
