  1. A

    Semhar

Yohannes gives his customers a warm welcome, and he’s a fanatic about the quality of his enjera bread (like a thick, spongy pancake) – all the better to sop up richly spiced stews and vegetable combos. Feel free to skip the menu and just ask for a mixed platter.

  2. B

    Lalibela

This was the Netherlands’ first Ethiopian restaurant, and it’s still a good ’un. Drink Ethiopian beer from a half-gourd and eat your stews, egg and vegetable dishes by hand with endjera, a spongy pancake.
