This counter-service shop serves rijsttafel, but you can get some of the same food in human portions with the nasi rames special - a heaped plate of roasted meats, on skewers or in spicy stews, with stir-fried or pickled vegetables, and a deep-fried hard-boiled egg.

    madvig does not recommend this,

    The service is alright, what you would expect of a 'eethuis', the atmosphere is not so nice. The neighbourhood is nice though. I ate there twice, and the second time I did, my Gaelic friend, who's been to India, Thailand, Nova Scotia, Ivory Coast, Serbia and even Ireland many times, never got so sick, from food. And that is around the corner, where you least expect it, that you contract a tiny bug that'll make you shed pounds. Happy November. Poor Chicken Roti.
