Lonely Planet review
The sibling of Stayokay Vondelpark and Stayokay Stadsdoelen, Zeeburg might be the best of the bunch. It has 508 beds spread over three floors; most of the spick-and-span rooms are four- or six-bed dorms, all with en-suite bathroom and bright orange decor. Hot breakfast is included. Linens are free, but towels cost €4.50. Wi-fi is in the lobby only.
Next door is Studio K, a cool arts centre, cinema and cafe. Dappermarkt and Javaplein – with great restaurants – are a short stroll away. Get here via tram 14 from the Dam, a 15-minute journey.
Our independent authors have visited Stayokay Amsterdam Zeeburg and selected this as one of our recommended hostels in Amsterdam.
Description provided by property
This HI hostel is situated east of the centre in a typical Amsterdam neighbourhood. The city's must-see attractions are but a fifteen-minute cycle or tram trip away. The tram stops only 200m from here, putting us just 10 minutes from Rembrandt Square.
You can take a tour of the canals by boat, visit world-famous museums or head off shopping along the colourful Kalverstraat - and there's always plenty to do at the hostel in the evening!
We’re housed in an amazing building, a former school dating from around 1900. This enables visitors to enjoy the ultra-modern facilities in classical settings.
Our hostel is ideally suited to accommodate (large) groups, providing access to various multifunctional areas within the building.
The bedrooms are all spacious and feature private sanitary facilities. All rooms are designed by the famous Dutch designer Edward van Vliet.
Our hostel also has its own cafe/restaurant and is sharing the building with a cinema and theatre - a truly fantastic entertainment combination!
You can rent a bicycle right our reception desk. Breakfast and city taxes are included!
Stayokay and Hostelling International members do not receive member discount on this booking
City tax is not included, please pay upon arrival, €1.00 per person per night.
