St Christopher's at the Winston
Lonely Planet review
This place is party central for touring bands, with rock 'n' roll rooms and a busy club, bar, beer garden and smoking deck downstairs; it hops 24/7. Group dorm rooms (all en suite) sleep up to eight. Most rooms are 'art' rooms: local artists were given free rein, with results from super-edgy (entirely stainless steel) and playful to questionably raunchy. Caveat: there's no internet at all in the rooms – but the ground-floor (lobby and bar) wi-fi is free. Staff can be less than friendly, but hey, it's rock 'n' roll, man. Deal with it. Rates include breakfast.
