Lonely Planet review
Now a 'one- to five-star' hotel, the Lloyd was a hotel for migrants back in 1921, and many of the original fixtures remain, alongside contemporary Dutch design. Budget (bathroom down the hall) to top-end (racquetball-court-sized) rooms are so one-of-a-kind (bathtub in the centre, fold-away bathrooms, a giant bed for eight…) they'll even impress travellers who think they've seen it all.
Our independent authors have visited Lloyd Hotel and selected this as one of our recommended boutique hotels in Nieuwmarkt.
