Description provided by property
For a relaxing holiday with a difference, stay aboard this wonderful houseboat, just off the beaten path and fifteen minutes walk from Central Station, or five minutes by tram.
PLEASE READ: You share the boat with your super-relaxed hostess Siet, but have your own key, free to come and go as you please, have a drink or smoke around the kitchen table in front of the homely fire, or breakfast in the sunny garden; living like a real Amsterdammer.
The location describes it self the best like a gypsy style boat community. It is one of the latest so called rough edges if the city center where not everything is regulated and the boat people have free spirits.
It is a very green street and making a bonfire is most appreciated and highly recommended.
At night it is quiet and you will feel the slow rocking of the boat and the sound of water. It is an amazing experience!
A private double room with washbasin and toilet and comfortable double bed sleeps two guests, sharing the shower room, living room and kitchen with Siet, and an additional two guests can be accommodated on the double bed in the living room.
Your booking includes bed linen, towels, coffee and tea making facilities, use of the kitchen, Wi-Fi, firewood and a city map.
Bikes are for rent at € 8.50 per 24 hours and for an additional € 9.50 per person, Siet will rustle up a tasty breakfast of Dutch eggs with bacon and cheese, orange juice, coffee, tea, jam and the real Dutch bread.
You may meet Boobie, the affectionate outdoor cat, occasionally in residence, but note that there is no litter box on board.
On your arrival I will draw on a map lots of tips and nice place for you to go to you.
A lovely walk away you will be in the famous Jordaan area. Full of unique vintage shops, cafe's and neighborhood markets.
Please note that the central heating is a wood burner, there are additional electric heaters.
Welcome on board!
