Lonely Planet review for Club Touché

Away from the Torarica Hotel area, try Club Touché where you can dance the night away with techno downstairs and salsa upstairs.

Dance the night away! (with a dress code)

    beej69 recommends this,

This place is fun if you're in the mood to mix with locals on a dance a floor :)

Downstairs is a big, nice, springy wooden dance floor with lots of high-tech lights, a fog machine, and a DJ playing modern pop dance music. There is the typical scene of lots of guys standing around watching the brave few dance with all the gals ;)

Upstairs is a neat salsa scene. It hints of that most authentic of salsa hotspots, The Nuyorican Cafe in San Juan, PR. I didn't stay upstairs long enough to see if the dance floor heated up, but I expect it may. You'll have to make do with a DJ there, to. Sadly, no live salsa.

I went on a Friday and was told to not bother arriving until midnight. This was good advice. Things didn't pick up until even later and the party was still going strong when I left at 4 am :) I ignorantly showed up in shorts and sandals. I should have known better. I had to go home and change into pants and shoes to get it. Luckily, my hotel, the new Best Western, was around the corner.

    Have Fun!
