Getting there & around
Isle of Sark Shipping (724059; www.sarkshippingcompany.com) sails from St Peter Port, Guernsey (adult/child return £22/11.20, 45 minutes), with five boats daily from April to October, and one boat Monday to Saturday between November and March. Day trips are a summer-only option. Manche Iles Express runs frequent services between Sark and France and Jersey.
An open-sided tractor-drawn cart pulls people and luggage up the harbour hill (be warned: it's dubbed 'the toast rack') or you can walk up the signed path. Horse-drawn carriages congregate at the beginning of the Avenue, near Avenue Cycle Hire (832102; bike hire per day £8).
