Weather
The best time to visit is during the hot and dry season (February to June). From July to October (southwest monsoon) and from October to January (northeast monsoon) there is occasional rain and strong winds. However, because this region is between the three-monsoon season that rules northern, northeastern and central Thailand, and the two-monsoon season in the country’s south, it remains drier than elsewhere in the country, even during the rainy months. During the monsoon season, beach resorts such as Hua Hin and Cha-am may be cloudy, but are not as wet as destinations further south like Ko Samui or Phuket.
