There has been frustration expressed about the number of similar questions being asked about onward ticket complications. The idea of this thread is that it might be a one stop shop for all the common questions so in future a link might be given to it rather than having to write the same info again and again-

How do I know the info already on Thorntree about this is still current ?

The basic issues about onward tickets have changed little in the last 25 years or more. When there are any…

Hello,

I have finally booked my plane ticket to Thailand, and I could not be more excited. I have 29 days in Thailand November 1-29.

Originally I thought I would do Bangkok>Chiang Mai>Pai>Ao Nang>Koh tao>Bangkok

I know I am risking it with Koh Tao in November but I can be flexible and watch the weather, my problem is I don't know if I should try to get to Koh Tao (weather permitting) first and Chiang Mai last. I know weather is hard to predict but is the first or last week generally better?

Hey all.

Me and my wife are planning to visit her family next month for 2 weeks.
We are looking and comparing car rentals in the area.
Since we do not have a credit card, we are not interested in the international brands because they all require you to have credit card.
As i searched around on the internet, we stumbled across 2 local car rental company's in Udon Thani that actually accept cash. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with these 2 company's?

Anyone had any recent experience with tattoo removal in Bangkok? I think I'm probably more interested in Picosure but keen on any information. Hoping to get recommendations and cost. Thanks.

Hi, I wasn't sure exactly where to post this, so I hope this is okay!

I heard that it is currently impossible to get a Chinese tourist visa in Bangkok unless you are residing in Thailand for six months or more, or have residency status there.

A friend of a friend tried to apply there but was told to return to his country to apply for a Chinese tourist visa!

Does anyone know if this is true, a new permanent rule, or if there's any way around it?

Thank you for your help!

By the way, I'm…
