Audio Slideshow: Phuket Vegetarian Festival
Blog: Coconut Radio - 18 October 2009
In honor of the Phuket Vegetarian Festival that starts today and runs till October 26th, I thought I'd post this audio slide show of the pictures I took when I went to the festival in 2007. My husband thinks my commentary sounds too serious and dramatic (he wasn't at the festival with me) so he made me think that maybe my pictures aren't saying the "thousand words" I thought they were. The festival is very, very dramatic - I'd say the most dramatic event I've ever been too. Don't watch this slide show if you faint at the sight of blood.

Thailands Songkran Festival, The Worlds Largest Waterfight
Blog: Canada's Adventure Couple - 25 September 2009
One of the coolest festivals (and I mean that in every sense) is Songkran Festival in Thailand. We were lucky enough to find ourselves in Chang Mai during the holiday and took part in the World's Largest Water Fight for 4 days! Chang Mai is certainly the most exciting place to celebrate Songkran. A significant cultural city of the country filled with tradition, temples, the old city and even a beautiful moat. There is no place I would rather be during the Water Festival.

The Weather For August 2009
Blog: The Complete Idiot's Guide to Koh Chang, Thailand - 1 September 2009
Koh Chang Weather Update - 1 September. Sunny days & calm seas. Koh Chang had a drier than normal start to the month, as in the past early August the weather tended to be pretty miserable. Grey skies but only a few showers during the first 10 days of the month. Lots of sunshine in the middle of the month and calm seas. But the rain returned at the end of August.
