NEW VISA CHANGES THREAD

At a glance the changes that have occurred since the original summary are that -

Non visa entry by land or air can now be extended for 30 days for 1900 baht.
Its still the case that G7 passport holders get 30 days when entering by land whereas many other nationalities only get 15 days if they come by land border.
Authorities announced in August / September 2014 that they reserve the right to restrict the number of border runs those without visas can do. But not much evidence of this being…

Koh Chang or Koh Kood

Hi
I have 6 days off over Christmas starting 23rd Dec in Bangkok and am needing to return 28th Dec to Bangkok. Looking for somewhere to hang out over christmas. Ideally I would like a beach setting, with a good vibe as I will be on my own. Happy to be social but would like my own room and Wifi. I am looking at Trat or Koh Chang or somewhere in that area as I am heading down South to the island in Feb.

I realise I have left it a bit late but would love some advise for which island is…

Credit to Air Asia

I had stuffed up. I had bought the Myanmar visa online, but printed out the other half's visa twice, and did not print out my own. And we did not realise this until at the check in counter for the Air Asia flight to Yangon from Bangkok. "Can I see your visa" asks the check in lady politely. She then showed us the two visa print outs, both with the same name on them. She was the one remaining calm - telling me first to find the email on my mobile phone, then telling me which free wifi service to…

Airport Transfer to Siem Reap

Hi we leave Taipei on Sunday and land in Bangkok with China Airlines at 10:05AM, we then have a flight at 11:35AM to Siem Reap with Bangkok Airways. We did not book these flights together so we can't check in for both flights in Taipei. Can someone give me information on this? We do not plan on checking bags to save time but can you tell me which one of the following we will have to do, option 1 or 2, if we have already completed online check-in. If option 2 will we have enough time to get…

Bang Khu Wiang floating market

Does anyone know any latest news about Bang Khu Wiang floating market?
Some say it is only weekend, some say it is open 7 days.
Some are even saying there is some repair work going on.

Did anyone go there in Dec 2014?

Thanks,

kota kinabalu to thailand with kids

Change of plans and needing quick advice. i have been travelling with my 3 children and am currently in sabah. I had planned sarawak but time is too tight to do it at a relaxed pace. We fly home from KL in 2 weeks and was needing a nice relaxed place to spend 10 days on a beach in thailand, not too far from KL while we await our flight home. Our travel budget is getting a bit thin and so good but cheap accomodation is a consideration as are travel costs....any suggestions?
