I have done quite a bit or research, and cant seem to find any definitive information on trains from hat yai station to Kuala Lumpur.
12goasia has information, but they only offer coach services and say that the train is "not available"
Seat 61 has some info also, but nothing explicit like "there is an overnight sleeper from hat yai to kuala lumpur"
He did mention that as of the 19th of May 2016 (last week) there were alterations in the services and some lines have been affected.
Just wondering if there is any real qualitative differences between staying on Samui, koh Phangan, koh Tao, and Krabi?
I made reservation for phangan but as afterthought don't want to get stuck on some small island with real grumpy, burned out locals.
So I'm wondering which southern island/beach location would offer most options in terms of ease of getting around, lodging choices, less hassle from touts, most fun activities, better opportunities to socialize, best value for bhat, lively…
I'm planning to arrive to Bangkok 30 August. The same day I'm thinking to fly to Phuket for 4 nights then i'm planning to go to Malaysia/Indonesia for 7 nights and after that going back to Bangkok for 3 nights.
I know that it's raining season during september and i'm wondering if I should go to Phuket/should I go to Bangkok beaches or to another island instead?
I know that I, or you, can't predict the weather, however I'm looking for an island to chill at for 5-6 days. Looking online, everywhere seems that October is rainy season. We'd prefer the lowest chance of a lot of rain. We're used to periodic showers just don't want to spend all day inside.
I'm deciding between Lanta, Lipe and Chang by Cambodia. We're looking for the classic island beach getaway for some snorkeling, exploring, eating, drinking, chilling, etc.
Not attached to the above 3, but…
Hi all. I'm a solo female traveller (for the first time). I'm going to be arriving in Phuket late at night (11pm) this week and need to figure out which hostel I should stay at. I'm not super into partying but wouldn't mind somewhere more social.
I'm hoping for a place that is helpful and will set up a driver to pick me up at the airport as I e read about the scamming that occurs in the taxi business. I don't mind paying a little extra for this as I'll be arriving after a long 12 hour travel…
Hey guys, I will be backpacking in Thailand for a month sometime between September-November. I need to purchase my plane tickets immediately and need help on where to fly in and out of Thailand.
I want to backpack through South and North Thailand, So would flying in and out of Bangkok be ideal for me? Cheapest and most convenient? I was thinking I can just book this flight and figure out an itinerary trail after.
Also, Is it cheaper and more convenient to fly around Thailand to get to my…
