At a glance the changes that have occurred since the original summary are that -

Non visa entry by land or air can now be extended for 30 days for 1900 baht.
Its still the case that G7 passport holders get 30 days when entering by land whereas many other nationalities only get 15 days if they come by land border.
Authorities announced in August / September 2014 that they reserve the right to restrict the number of border runs those without visas can do. But not much evidence of this being…

Hello there. Greetings.

My husband and I are traveling with our 12 year old son to Bangkok at the end of December for a 20-night stay, departing from Bangkok as well. I have poured over numerous travel sites, blogs, travel books, etc. over the last few weeks and still can't seem to figure out how/where our time would be best spent.

Well....I haven't traveled solo b4 & it ain't in my TO DO LIST either..haha.. excited and kinda nervous at the same time, would love to catch up with new people, if you're coming to Thailand anytime after 10th May 2015 , INFACT MY ITINERARY ain't final yet, with about a week's time left I would love to get these things sorted and we can even plan something exciting together.

I would like to know if their is a shuttle bus service from the airport to Ko Samet, or do I need to go to travel agent in town and probably have to spend a night in Bangkok ? If their is a service from the airport, could you provide the timetable ?

Hi! I'll probably be taking the sleeper train from Vientiane to Bangkok on May 9th, as it's cheaper than flying and fits better with my further schedule to fly down to Koh Samui the same day. The information I can find about the train online states it will arrive in Bangkok at 6am, however here at the hostel it says 7am. Does anyone know for sure? It arrives at Hua Lamphong. Now, does anyone know how long it would take me to go straight to the airport; would I have enough time for a 9am flight…
