VISA CHANGES For people entering Thailand by land

SUMMARY - Read first before asking new questions.

Before 1995 many nationalities got 15 days non visa entry then it was changed to 30 days . In about 2006 due mainly to concerns about criminals and illegal workers doing border rums a 90 days in 180 days stay limit for non visa entry was introduced . It was discontinued after about 6 months as it was too difficult to administer and it was replaced by a simpler system of only giving 15 days at land borders
Now that's been relaxed again by…

Thailand - Getting around Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK)

I've been traveling to Samui from the Middle East for the past 3 years. My daughter is coming to visit for the first time and BKK airport can be confusing. So after much searching, I stumbled upon the site below, which gives clear concise details, with photos, of how to go from International to Domestic, both with and without a pre-arranged boarding pass. I was pleased with the Passenger Guides info (although it fails to mention the level change), nevertheless its made things much better for…

Koh Samui and Koh Tao in Dec

Me and my friend have eight nights to spend on the islands. Would you split time equally or dedicate more time on the other? What would be the recommended location on either of the islands? We are looking to do some diving, some nightlife but most importantly just relax and enjoy.

Any input appreciated!

Andy

BKK to Koh San

Hello,
I haven't flown into BKK for a while. Used to be able to get a bus AE2 to Koh San, but it looks like that has been discontinued. What are the public transport alternatives now besides public bus? The rail link wasn't completed last time I used that airport, so am not sure which station to take it to, then how to transfer to public transport.

Thanks in advance.
