Getting there & away
The main train and bus lines in the northeast are between Bangkok and Nong Khai, and between Bangkok and Ubon Ratchathani. The northeastern region can also be reached from northern Thailand by bus through Phitsanulok, with Khon Kaen as the gateway. Most of the major centres are also connected to Bangkok by air.
